In Texas we always called it grabbling, every since that documentary in Oklahoma I hear people calling it noodling here now, I still call it grabbling.
I ain't never been noodling yet, but I do recall the first time I was playing with a fresh caught flathead and my father told me to stick my hand in his mouth 😹

They’re guarding they’re spawn and these guys/gals are reaching in their homes grabbing the fish by the gills and pulling it out. Then other fish eat whatever eggs/babies are left because mom/dad isn’t there to protect them..
Good ol Weiss lake! We bowfish all that right there at the causeway across from jakes. Jeff had that boat parked in that cove for a month that year we thought it was some homeless folks moved in and reported it to Alabama Power. lol
Looks like they pulled fish off beds by their gills while the fish were protecting their young. Hopefully you don’t want your kids to be able to catch trophy catfish
Hey seek one I went out on an antelope hunt last year with bow and shot one the first day. It was 33 yards away. Also it was 14.5inches and grossed 72.5. I hope it makes Pope in young, alot of people said it will tho. I was 13 when I shot it if you wanted to know.
Those were some pretty fish I miss going out and doing this but it's not something you do alone and all the people I use to do it with have stopped doing it.

The deer you guys shoot are amazing and the content you guys put out on your channel make me want to be a better hunter. I’ve been bow hunting for two years now, I started after I lost a family friend that was close to me back in 2019. Since I started hunting I haven’t been able to take down a deer my first deer. I know this might be to much to ask for and a long shot but I was wondering if you guys could help me out by coming to Ohio and showing me how you guys do it? And help me shoot my first deer? I’ve watched tons of hunting videos and tried everything to get my first deer but it seems like I’m doing everything wrong. If you guys can’t come, could you give me some pointers on how and what I need to do to get the job done? I hope to hear back from you guys but if not no biggie but most importantly keep up the good work making videos and thank you for everything you guys do to help out the hunting community with the videos Sincerely: Michael
The guys could do a give a way or something to give guys like us a chance to hang with them, have some fun, and break bread together. I personally love the acknowledgement of our Lord and Savior King Jesus. Taken lots of deer over the years but never with a bow. Shot the buck of my life ten days ago but didn't recover him. Never had that happen and I can say its the worst feeling. Am still thankful for the experience and the time in God's creation.
Keep at it. I deer hunted for two years with a bow before I finally got a nice buck.. granted, I only had a couple of tries each year thanks to certain opportunities and friends with leases. I even missed 2 doe thankfully because they would have been horrible shots.. Keep at it and it will be worth it! I was lucky to go out for 3 weekends consecutively and on the third weekend, last morning, tagged one...
@@peterwoodward3085 you cut the fish into pieces and marinade them in Frank's for even just a few minutes. Then coat the fish in whatever kind of breading you like. Fry like normal. The Frank's acts as the glue to stick the breading on. Yellow mustard is also good done the same way.
I don't know where the term "noodling" comes from. In the south it's caled "grabblin" These folks must be in the midwest, or maybe the Red River basin. Kansas?

you have to be patient ive hunted my whole life and i didnt shoot my first deer until after i hunted for 12 years
