GLD Research Seminar Series - Presentation Skills

GLD’s research seminar series provides an introduction to the research process. In this session: Language Advisor Christina El-Saidi discusses how to compellingly and confidently deliver a research presentation. Drawing from critical concepts in the art and study of rhetoric, she offers advice on how to cultivate your credibility by devising a clear presentation structure; capture your audience’s attention and interest by speaking in an engaging manner; and render your argument more persuasive by visually supporting your arguments. Christina also provides practical tips on how to craft a clear and audience-oriented visual layout, ease your presentation jitters, and use body language to project calm and confidence.
