PS: the "Kratos freefall" Bug has been fixed in our final release :)
Do note some updates on the ps vr store (maybe add a ingame picture for the store) and you earn another costumer

I think a big issue is the camera movement. You can't easily and in a natural way do a 180 or a 360, making the controls feel pretty unresponsive. By the time you manage to turn around you have an enemy hitting you from behind, then when you turn towards it you already have another one behind you.
I really feel at times like the game expects you to be sitting, which is nice for immersion but pretty bad for actual control since you don't have the precise controls of using your head and body to turn around.
I would play this if it weren’t another roguelike
Or another shooter. We get mostly horror and shooter games. Would love some more heavy narrative focus games in vr.
@@andtor5981im still relatively new to VR(5 months to 6 months in) so im still very much in love with horror or even shooter games, but story focused games like red matter and red matter 2 is amazing… red matter 2 is my top 5… my top 5 VR games is(in no particular order) Red Matter 2, Walking Dead Saints snd Sinners part 1, Horizon Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil 4 VR and Vertigo 2
@@bxile730 Is good that your are loving them, as is good that if it comes out another roguelike, horror or shooter and is good it doesen't get tossed away just because is part of a macro-genre (i'm not talking about this specific game). Still i'm surprised that there is this hostility towards rouguelike in vr, while there is also a saturation of shooters and horror games and very little if not missing as a whole of other genres.
If your are enjoying narrative focus games try look at: The Invisible Hour (you can find it on discount very cheap), Lone Echo or Westworld Awekening.
Or if you don't mind mods of flatscreen games, Raicuparta's Nomai vr Outer Wilds is almost a native vr game as is very well done.
It's pretty damn fun for a Roguelike. It's got a good amount of challenge too
@@andtor5981it's not just another shooter though. It's a mech shooter. At least on psvr2 this is our first mech game and it's pretty fun.

@BigSunn0 hey ya got more games than my psvr2 and backwards compatibility. Just glad this is $25 compared to soul covenant $50 with no physical. This does look more fun than armored core and sights are way more intuitive to aim than the light brigade (default white on snow is horrendous).

I got the game today played about 40 min I’m liking it so far.
Cartoony puts me off straight away!!
But ive never played a cartoony game on PSVR2
Vox Machinae is still the vr mech king
I haven't played it, but from what I've seen, underdogs is likely better. Feels really good to play and it's fun

@ganjahousetv3743 I think Iron Rebellion feels better, but isn't quite there yet. Also I think it suffered from going into early access too early.

I wish Capcom would make a vr version of steel battalion.
I didn't have all the technical issues you had (apart some glitches near the drop pod), but I pretty much concluded the same thing as you. It's a good game, but there isn't much there although I had fun when I played it.

Thanks for the review! I can imagine this game being more fun in multiplayer, with a few single player runs from time to time. I hope that they implement more features to keep the game fresh!
Roguelike definitely aren't developed for me but I get why we're getting so many. Hopefully soon these devs will have more time and money to sink into developing more worthwhile experiences

Being in the mech is like having comfort setting on and instruments the mech block your already limited view. The arenas are too small and the enemeis get to you too quickly and there is no where to go the dodge spitting enemies

Adaptive triggers yes but very subtle headset vibrations
At least it looks nice and sharp. Shame it falls a little short in the gameplay department.
Hopefully it benefits greatly from online co-op, and the developers can take in player feedback an add some features or modes to liven up the gameplay a bit.
if I would have known mixed reality would be full of these party games rogue lite titles i would not have got into quest 3. i regret my purchase alot now
A decent mech game has been on my wish list for a very long time - battlezone on PSVR1 scratched that itch a little, but it didn't quite give me the feeling of the original PC mechwarrior games that I loved. Would it be so difficult for someone to grab hold of mechwarrior 4 and make a PSVR2 version of it? Vox Machinae looks close from what I can see, but I want it on PSVR2. And while we're talking of cockpit games.......can someone, somewhere please upgrade SW squadrons to run on the PSVR2. It was fantastic running on the PS5 with the PSVR1 attached........it's one of the few reasons I haven't packed my PSVR1 away for good.
It is never coming to psvr2. It was a project that was abandoned just like Star Trek was and the dev team of squadrons have been disbanded now.
Squadrons was a smaller budget double-A sort of game that sold more than expected, but wasn't exactly an insane hit for EA. I'd love to see a port, but considering the license and the fact that online support (in terms of the developers being active and adding new stuff) ended quite a while ago, I doubt it'll happen. A sequel is probably more likely than a port at this point.
But unlike what @Brasslantern007 says, the project wasn't "abandoned" and the developer wasn't disbanded. Squadrons got far more in the way of additional content and support than was originally intended since it beat sales expectations, and the developer went on to make the Dead Space Remake (which I would LOVE to see come to VR).
These guys marketed their game as the "perfect co-op rouge-like experience". What a damn shame. Just waiting on ancient dungeons co-op mode for psvr2

Ouff kinda disappointed tbh. But I had some fun with gazzlers which is very basic, so I might still enjoy this one will wait for more reviews but thx for the heads up.

These stealth drops are getting a bit much. I want to play that too. I'm skipping the roguelike but hopefully Apollo game is not that.
STAY AWAY! The game is utter trash. Not even remotely fun. Non-stop waves of enemies and you cannot even move or do anything, like reload, because you constantly being swarmed by enemies. No break. It's a joke to steal your money. Which they did me

The graphics look great. Would wish for a loot shooter like borderlands instead of a other rogue like game of which there are enough in my opinion. If I remember correctly there is a borderlands 2 VR version. Would love to see it as a standalone version for quest 3.
Yup, Borderlands 2 VR came out on PC VR and PSVR 1 years ago. A Quest 3 port might be possible, but it'd probably take a fair amount of work and optimization.
Falling through the map in vr is the worst .
Finally get a mech game on psvr2 and it's a rogue-like. Urgh. Oh well.
The movement is what keeps me away. I want to be able to move with the sticks.

it's plain ignorance. there are plenty of problems with this game and has nothing to do with it being a roguelike. there are plenty of incredible roguelikes out there that are absolutely worth it (underdogs)

Miles better than Apollo 13 the lost tapes. That game is shovelware trash. Like it's a joke the devs made to steal your money. Not even fun in the slightest. Stay far away. I wasted 20 so you won't have to 😂
I wish some devs would make games with stories like asgards wrath 2. Once you play a few of these Roguelike games every one you play feels the same. There's just no point in playing them. There's no fun or sense of accomplishment or satisfaction.
Devs need to just STOP working on their rogue likes and course correct to something else. this is MADDENING. It's starting to become a meme. Every freakin VR game is one of these trash genre titles.

Maybe I would like rogue likes if they were better. Light Brigade is a rare good one, but even that one couldn't keep me entertained for very long. It was just fun to the point it was playable.
