      Yes never really thought of it that way. It was just petrol and diesel I had to learn about when I started. Cheers Steve 👍

    Nice one guys! Going for my EV disconnection qualification next week and wanted some prep before I do it. Succinct and to the point.

    Now I know why some well known fast fit centres won't service hybrids or electric vehicles. You learn something new everyday.

    Interesting video It must be important for emergency crews to know how to isolate the electrics in a recovery situation?

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  Год назад

      Yes I’m sure they must have a list of where to find the isolator

    I appreciated a Great video but it is better if you like to say that all equipment must be minimum CAT III it is means 1000 voltage also you can not wear a jewellery when you are operating that kind procedures. Because rules are rules even other people are leaving in different countries like me . Good luck guys

    I do think the UK has the most extreme rules and regulations, especially when it comes down to electrical works. Just wondering how many of the things shown in this video are really needed. It could be all of them, just curious.

      Well dealing with 300 to 900 volts with EV’s safety is imperative. I wouldn’t want to try without doing this way

      Also for safety of the control boards scattered around the car, don't want to strike one of these expensive PCBs as well as yourself.

    its getting to the point wherre most garages wont even touch cars for more than basic things, owners go to main dealers

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  3 года назад

      That all depends on the garage. Wether they want to move with the times or not. The training and tools are out there. Let’s face it.. a lot of garages were scared of diesel engines 30 years ago

      @@OneAuto i wouldnt know about the diesel fear, too young but i do see cars are getting too complex these days my focus is from the goldilcks era the mid 2000s

    I don't see why insulated work boots are req the volage is not in respect to earth (IE the ground your'e standing on)

      Their main purpose is to protect against and prevent an electric current from being grounded. High voltage electric current passing through you can stop the heart or produce fatal burns to an unprotected user. These vehicles range from 300 to 900 volts.

    More and more where the average Joe won’t be able to work on their own cars. Shame.
