The Department for Transport told TPE to reduce services, cut costs & utilise their “underused” class 802. Plus they wouldn’t pay for repairs that are needed to the mk5’s as they have got cracking. Also the reliability of the mk5’s is so poor that they were never officially accepted into service.
Would you happen to know why TPE is getting rid of the Class 68s?
