My friend just wanted to replace her power socket and none of the forums had anything. Thanks a lot for this. It was really helpful. Great camera angles and narration was exactly right.

Are these units (Headunit / ICM ) plug and play or do they have to be programmed by the dealer if purchased used? i have an 'Volvo v70, 2012. Around a year ago the radio and infotainment system started to fail. and wondering if the problem is the ICM unit? . I was recently given the car and I have started to diagnose and try to fix this issue. The symptoms of this issue are the screen for the infotainment system not working but its turn on and hanging on and on, all of the lower lights and buttons work such as the heated seats and or the defroster and fan control. They all work . Up till this point when I turned the car on I would receive no light from the screen and none of the audio buttons such as FM, AM, and or volume not either, about 6 mounts ago the rear park sensor failed to show on screen. grateful for every answers

I have a 2006 Volvo XC90. I thought the CD PLAYER was the same for the SAT NAV disc. So, of course I stuck the DVD disc in and now it's completely stuck. I'm getting a message saying DECK ERROR. Is there a way to take the CD PLAYER apart without damaging it.

Can you pull out the climate control unit without removing the entertainment module?

It seems like I have to disconnect the battery after I get the stick into the park position ?

    Thanks for the how-to.
I can hear the 'key in ignition' reminder bong going through out the video, so I guess you didn't disconnect the battery as you suggest? Is the key turned to on? Did it cause any error codes?

If you do this and add / replace with a second hand CD Player / same model no, year etc. you still need to update the software. How do you do that.

Your video was great and I got so excited by the simplicity of it I went ahead and changed my climate control unit... Only problem was I forgot to disconnect the battery. And yes of course I now have an airbag message... Any help on how to clear this message or is it off to the dealer now.
