To all the ctitics of thif film - granted, it's not Shakespeare, and the actors not Sir Ian Mckellan or Dame Maggie Smith, but its this and other films that kept Sid Melton employed so that we can enjoy him in better films. It's films like this that helped fill up my Saturday afternoons when I was a child out on that isolated yak farm in Wyoming, back in the preInternet days.😉

The producer, Robert L. Lippert, got into a feud with the musicians union who wanted to be paid residuals for television broadcasts. Rather than put up a fight, Lippert hired an organist to play “music,” which couldn’t possibly be identified. You’ll find lots of interesting information about Lippert in my blog. Kit Parker

Here's a fun flick. Thanks for posting. Some of this screenplay, however, I wonder about. For example, at 8:00, a newly arrived home Korean War vet is knifed in the back without suspecting he's in danger. (Every arriving home from war veteran I ever met was a bit skitzy, looking in every direction all the time, for the first few weeks. Lt. Dan, here, just didn't act the real life. War phobic Hollyweird would, of course, never know about such experiences.) At 22:25 P.I. Ramsey, a seasoned people hunter can't fight his way out of his kidnapping. Really? Wouldn't a licensed private detective have some fist de cuffs experience (to at least briefly hold his own)? Love the "newfangled" first-gen TV at 27:37. Cute!! Finally, our he-man gumshoe (42:52) doesn't even have a pocketknife for opening an Amazon box! Whatever... Anyway, this movie's is a great period piece (early 1950s); take a look.

Agreed. Kim Ho is a Korean name, but all of the clothing was decidedly Quing dynasty Manchurian Chinese (as opposed to Han). In my life, I have seen one or two Korean curio shops, but they didn't carry any Chinese goods. And while both cultures have dragons, the Chinese imperial family exclusively used a five-clawed yellow dragon while the Korean royals used a lion-like creature with a pig nose called a haechi as their emblem and figurines.

The signs and the attire of the people in the opening scenes were not Korean, probably Chinese, yet the opening setting was Korea. That was weird. Of course there were many Chinese still living in Republic of Korea in 1951. There still are.
