- Workplace Accountability - A Lesson from a Grizzly. In my book, The Jerk-Free Workplace, I stress the importance of employees stepping up and taking responsibility and being accountable for their actions. The grizzly bear picking up a traffic cone featured in this video offers a simple yet important reminder about personal responsibility and living up the the old mantra, "If you see something just do it!" @MichaelKerrInspiringWorkplaces

Thanks for watching! So, why did the bear pick up the traffic cone? Please leave you thoughts , suggestions, and questions!
Michael, I 100% agree. Be like the bear and do it. Unfortunately in some states the workforce laws have created a “it’s not your job” set of rules.
Thanks Jeff. It's frustrating to hear that there are rules or laws impeding this!
I've been working at a polytechnic college for twenty-two and a half years. There are a few sets of doors on campus that will stay open to wherever you push them, and early in the morning, they tend to be partly opened by someone who squeezed through on their way down the hallway, or one of the two matching doors will still be closed. I'm not sure who is going to take over the awesome responsibility of opening them all the way when I retire in January!
Oy - thanks for sharing! That's a great example! Let's hope someone steps up after you leave! :)
