hello lovely, can we change the "Purchase/add to cart" button color? since its something automatically created vs us creating it? many thanks, just found you but already learning a lot.
Yes I believe so, in the Site Style settings under Assign Styles. If there's no color option for that button specifically, it's likely pulling from the Primary Button color. If you want to change it independently you could use CSS :)
You can't have visitors upload files to your Squarespace site directly. You'll need to use a third party tool for this (try googling) and maybe you'll be able to embed it into your Squarespace site
Hey there, thanks so much for the video! I've learned a lot from your content. Question for you... I am using the Unna font included in SS. When I go into the Style and Weight settings for my BUTTON fonts there is only one option for each. Normal and 400. Do you know of any work arounds here? I can make my text bold in a text box but not buttons. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Alexi! It sounds like the font you have chosen doesn't have any other weight or style options (do you get the same options when you edit in the Paragraph or Headings area? Just check this to confirm that it's the font and it's not your button editor having an issue!). If that's the case, you might be able to add some CSS to create a 'bold' effect on your button text. To save you any more issues down the line, I would maybe try to choose a similar font that has different weights and different styles, as long term it will be better to have the options and it will save you having to code these things in... But if you don't want to change it, we could do this CSS for you via our extra support service bigcatcreative.com/support :)
What settings do you have selected? Is your color set to transparent? As in, if you click into the color, the transparency slider might be dragged to fully transparent
Did you look in the Site Styles > Fonts > Buttons area AND the Sites Styles > Buttons area? There's two different places to edit the button fonts right now, and letter spacing may have moved since this video
Your videos are so helpful! Thank you

Thank you! So helplful!
How do we edit the text only on the button in the navigation bar? It looks very different to the other buttons?
You can edit the header button font by going to Site Styles > Fonts > Assign Styles :)

How can I add an icon in the button or make the button an arrow instead?
You'd have to do this with custom CSS (unless you use paste an arrow icon is as text →)
great tutorial thankyou!
My button keeps coming up fully transparent with out a border or completely filled in, any suggestions?

I don't have the option to add letter spacing to buttons. I can only change Family, Weight, Style (normal or italic) and size

So definitely not a custom button
