I really enjoyed your haul! The little Santa ornament is very sweet and original - kind of. In 1930 Coca Cola "adopted" Santa for their adverts and of course Santa's coat had to be red. Before 1930 Santa's coat was blue, white or green! I still have vintage Santa Christmas ornaments with these old colours!

"Smells like outside air" sent me into a fit of laughter that I did not think I would recover from. I have smelled Outside air in Salt Lake City Utah on a March morning that is so brisk and fresh that you can smell the pine trees from the mountains. I've smelled California and Arizonia HOT air that is windy and fire burning at the same time. So glad your experience in the USA was heavenly.
This vid made me smile from start to finish. Your enthusiasm for Target is how I feel whenever I get to Fortnum & Mason or Marks & Spencer. We always covet what we don’t have readily available. Cheers, Mr. C. 🙌😃

When your three wick Bath & Body Works candle has been used you can wash out the glass container and put cotton balls and q-tips in them: I hot glue a little bead on the top for a handle:
I also love M&S stuff. Their Percy Pig Christmas stuff is brilliant. I bought myself a Percy Pig Christmas cushion & plush toy. I also really like M&S clothes, as they fit me well.

Brilliant buys in the US my fave was the candles and the owl window item.
Really cheered me up as my Grandson was taken into hospital this morning with covid he is only 17 so I was quite shocked as he was getting better

I like dollar tree but it’s dangerous for your wallet to go in there. I always end up buying way more than I expect. Sad that after 40 yrs of everything being $1, prices are going up to $1.25. Yes, ASDA is a part of Walmart, but I don’t shop there nor at hobby lobby. Target is one of my favorite stores to get just about anything and I have a few pieces from that home range from target. Love all things that smell like balsam fir!

Yes yes yes to the candy video! Would love to know what you think about how chocolate tastes in US vs UK even for the same brands. Having grown up in India, I found UK chocolates closer to the taste I grew up with than US ones. Loved the video and things you picked up! Lovely choices and perfectly suited. Was smiling throughout at your enthusiasm. Very infectious! A great reminder that things we enjoy is so personal to us.
Sitting here watching from Maryland USA. Target is considered a posh-er Walmart which as you said is Asda in the UK. The magnolia brand at target is from a creator that has a TV show here . They redo homes. Love seeing things from the USA from your prospective!!!!
I am from USA originally. I love peanut m and m s. Did you see the bin bags for leaves outdoors that look like a jack o lanterns? You fill them with leaves and it makes a giant pumpkin .🤣🤣🤣🤣
Such fun! When you showed that gigantic trash bag I was in stitches.😆 I’m a transplant to Nashville from Maryland (on East Coast) and we always used shopping carts. Here in TN they call them “buggies” & I’m not quite used to that word yet. The B&BW candles were my favorite but I’m so enjoying all your vlogs from your US trip. This is so much fun watching you show products that even I haven’t heard of like the Starbucks in a box. I’ve seen it in a bottle but not a box with a tap. Also, just an FYI on Target. Super Targets have one side as a grocery store and the other side other household items, clothing etc. Some of the Targets are just a small section of some frozen foods and food items but are not a full grocery-so depending on what you’re looking for, you’ll want to go to whichever one suits your needs.

I live in the US .. My husband is from London . When we go to England to see his family and visit I just love going to the “ shops “ I would call them stores lol .We lived there for a year several years ago and it took a while getting used to the different saying of items.. like cotton buds . We call q tips , bin liners are trash bags , etc …

Im glad you had a great time!! After moving from the US to the UK a couple years ago, I really really miss the dollar tree and coffee creamer! But I dont think I can give up greggs! DT always has those cardboard/wooden signs which are lovely for decorating on a budget. They make new kinds every year but usually keep with a theme for the year. Like a picket fence for summer/spring/winter/fall. During times like Easter they have lovely decor items like ribbon carrots, pastel eggs and white ceramic animals to make center pieces. During summer they do a lot of cute glass things like small tea light lanterns and candle holders. Target is great too, especially if you have a bit more of a budget. They also have a dollar spot with slighly more expensive but comparable to dollar tree items. Maybe for 3 dollars but its twice as big. C:

I have always wished that the dollar tree would open up in the UK, I subscribe to a lot of American channels an I love to watch when Michael five dollar grab bags, I get so excited waiting to see what comes out of the box, I hope one day some of your lovely shops will move here ,Asda is part of of the dollar tree I think its the dollar tree , I uesd to work for an American company and the were so good to us 🇺🇸 😀 so I say come on over USA and make this country better, have a great Christmas, 👍

Ooo I loved watching this haul. The paper napkins would make lovely autumn candles it you know the technique for applying them ( very easy) My fav has to be the mugs for Luke and Kate so appropriate. Loved all the things really, great to see different things.

Oh goodness, no one told you. For that church Christmas ornament, it's really helpful for your sanity to grab either a bottle of hairspray or craft spray adhesive/sealer and give it a few light layers. You do need to let it dry a bit before doing the next layer. It will make the glitter stick and keep the glitter on the ornament so that it doesn't share the glitter around the house like a bad cold.

Glad you liked our stores here in the US! Some of our Targets and Walmarts are “Super” Targets or “Super” Walmarts, which means the grocery department is bigger and complete. Walmart even has some stand alone supermarket called Walmart Neighborhood Market. Yes, we are infamous for our “fun size” candy bars! We use many of Walmart’s tree ornaments for our tiered tray decor. Farm house, the red truck, Buffalo check (black and white gingham) are popular decor styles/items over here. In the spring the “red truck” turns teal, lol!

I actually call them tea towels too. And even Americans get overwhelmed in Walmart, Target, and Hobby Lobby. It is way too much stuff but we Americans love choices.

Mr Carrington, you are just adorable! I am in the US and loved seeing the haul through your eyes! Couple of things….I think you called the ribbon a Monochrome? We call it Gingham, that’s the style. It’s very popular right now especially with Farm House decor style..which a lot of your Christmas finds fall into. The “little red truck” is huge here (this is what you called a van and yours is silver). You”bin bag” is hilarious! This type of trash bag is used mostly in large garbage cans at bigger locations like stores or offices and not typically in our homes. I love the Reese’s cups…yum! We love grabbing the big bags for Halloween. We get around 900 Trick or Treaters each year so having the big bags really help! Anyway, I loved this video! I am impressed with how much you were able to pack home. Come back to the USA and see us again soon!

The Santa with glasses ornament was my favorite! I’m one of the few people I guess that really do not like gnomes. The pink snowman ornament was super cute too, Hermione is going to love it! And a big YES to a video of you trying our American chocolates!! The “bin” bag you showed is actually called a lawn waste bag. It’s meant for grass clippings and leaves.🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️PS. Target is my fav too!
I live in California, I reuse the plastic bags in my shopping and when I pack my decorations or if send anything in the mail that is breakable. There are different size Dollar Stores.My granny used to make those by hand the 🎅 ornament they were bigger. I would love ❤️ to see you try our candy.
Oh yes, the black trash bag is for you rake up mounds of leaves in the autumn. But can be used as a rain poncho in a pinch or as you pointed out, part of a costume.

You would love our home at Christmas! We own our land and home out in the country side. Forestry and a small creek runs through our back yard. Lots of pine trees. We own an acre. All the ornaments are fab!!! The M&M you must try is the Fudge Brownie. It's in a purple bag. YUMMY!!!! Have a GREAT DAY!!!

I live in the U.S. and grew up on all those candies and chocolates. I love them but I'd really like to see your first impressions. And BTW I use those oversize plastic shopping bags for lining my 13 gallon kitchen garbage can. They're huge! (Peanut M&Ms, full stop)

And I'd love to see you do a taste test of our candy and what you'd compare it to in the UK. We used to have an UK import store in my hometown in Ohio and my favorite candy bar of all time remains a mint Aero.
