What a big hassle to do it through the console, I have a Fiesta ST and just installed a FSWERKS short shift kit that installed from under the hood in 15 minutes and it works perfect, and for $86.00, they have to make one for the Focus.
mike chavez They also make the easy under the hood adapter for the Focus. I did this because I wanted the same short shift plus the actual shifter arm is shorter. That is what I wanted. Also changed out the cheap rubber bushings for aluminum ones. It DEFINITELY was a pain in the ass lol. However it feels much smoother and a tighter shift this way.
I did notice that it was shorter and looked good, I changed out my shift knob and had to put a lock-out reverse adapter on it witch made it actually higher, I love the ST line and my Fiesta puts the biggest smiles on my face than any other car I've ever had.
bassheadray It was time consuming. I feel a difference. It's my favorite thing i have done to my car so far. Next to the steering wheel its the most touched part on the car. I feel like it's a must do mod. unless you love the stock setup.

It's something that takes time but isn't hard. It makes the ST feel way more sporty. 100% Worth the time and money spent.

mike chavez Hell yeah dude. ST line is bad ass. Hopefully one day the RS will be a reality lol.
Is the Short reverse lock link necessary?
Did the shifter come with the knob and is the knob weighted?
The knob did not come with it and yes it is weighted

i'd love to install this short shifter but I know i'll fuck up the installation...
Just don't rush it! It's not hard but I set Lots of time aside to complete it.
