You NEED to mention that GSECs can also go down in value if interest rates go up. You are getting a higher yield for taking this additional interest rate risk. The higher the yield - the more is the risk you are taking. So it is not really the “safest” instrument which could be a short term money market fund.
If you do a intraday trade then what strike price do you choose? how do you put SL? SL put as double of what you have sold may not make sense as option price may behave abnormal even when on small breakouts and if you put based on levels then RR is not favourable so wanted your thoughts on this.

Instead of gsec(less volume) try gilt funds(gilt is also govt security bonds) pledge and trade with 10% haircut
