Journey into the Mah Meri Cultural Village: SISM's Trip to Pulau Carey!

Our SISM students stepped into the vibrant world of the Mah Meri, meeting Malaysia's iconic 'Masked Men'. With roots stretching back to the 15th century, their breathtaking wood-craftsmanship has even earned UNESCO's nod.
Beyond just observing, our students explored the mangrove wood carving and ancient palm leaf weaving techniques. The highlight? Dancing to the mesmerising beats of the Joh-Oh Mask Dance.
This journey deepened their appreciation for global cultures, shaping them as world citizens with wisdom, courage and compassion. Quite the journey, wouldn't you agree?
