The EOMM system is built to manipulate us and keep us hooked, making sure we play as long as possible in the hopes we’ll spend money on skins, bundles, and battle passes. Unless they get hit with a massive lawsuit for these manipulative and predatory practices, the matchmaking system isn’t going to change. Add in terrible servers and constant desync issues, and the game just isn’t fun anymore. Everyone I know who still plays isn’t doing it because they enjoy it-they’re just stuck in a cycle of addiction. Like you said, no amount of new content will fix this. The whole game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, and honestly, good luck with that.

However, this could also be the beginning of warzone being separated for call of duty and be its own thing on its own servers with it own team. I think that they’ve come to the realization that warzone and cod need to be there own thing in order for them both to remain successful because it is clear they are destroying each other by remaining intergraded. Last thought, I think that there is a whole LOT going on behind the scenes right now and the direction of everything is shifting for the better.

After the black ops 6 integration 4 people including me have been having problems with this game 1- My account gives DirectX error mid game many times 2- my buddy's account make the CPU go wild and make the whole system lag (I was on his account too) 3- My other friend's account times out of the match when the host also times out 4- My other friend has been banned for 14 days for using a swear word once in his lifetime Keep in mind I've played with in all of their accounts and had the same issues Is this game worth playing? I really love call of duty... But after all of this...
In my opinion, what would bring myself and probably many back is to fix the servers the cheating and if you’re going to spend $100 for a premium game all content from there on out is free that means all seasons, all cosmetics all new weapons are free

Black Ops has a superior campaign over Modern Warfare 3, Superior Zombies over MW 3, The Multiplayer on both MW3 and BO 6 is really good and Warzone is being fixed on Black Ops 6 currently so no verdict on that yet!

All of thesechanges that have been implemented since 2019 (seasons, micro transactions etc) have all been direct responses to the success Tencent/Timi had been having with COD Mobile. And everything Activision has done on those fronts since 2019 has been done to make console/p.c. COD and Warzone resemble COD Mobile and their monetization of the call of duty IP. They want to keep the annual (yearly) COD title drop and also mimic the CODM monetization scheme. And now they want it all to be Ai generated basically turning classic call of duty into a money printing machine, that they no longer even have pay devs to maintain.
Why won't they make an independent studio for Warzone?? I think it would lay off the other teams time for the next game and they can just share the files with warzone for weapons, Bundles, and story?

My answer: No. Reason: Just not enough, mostly on the Warzone side. We needed a new Warzone map and I don't think Verdansk would be the saving grace people want. Say we get it, then suddenly people are going to get tired of it very quickly because it's not the same. If we got a new Warzone map say... Avalon, then it would definitely get player interest back. A new warzone map for people to explore and mess around in. Having Avalon as a Warzone map makes a whole lot more sense as the post season story is taking place in Avalon as that's where the Pantheon has been operating. All of this stuff people have been saying about removing the stupid bundles, remove SBMM, bring Verdansk back, it just won't work in the long run.

I wouldn’t be completely opposed to the end of warzone. Call me old fashioned but I liked call of duty a lot more back in the day of when we had paid map packs. I wouldn’t want to go back to those days necessarily but I did like the more focus on multiplayer and the one other mode I.e. zombies(extinction from ghosts was good). The warzone community definitely feels its diminished significantly since it’s release that even tho another studio works on warzone, its gotten too much to handle that they literally have to cut content to focus on fixing the mode

Warzone needs to be it's own game. Separate it from COD altogether. Let one studio do Warzone and then have the rotation of developers do the full paid title. Separate them and it would fix the servers and the cheaters.

If they fix the steam performance issues, I think a lot of THAT playerbase will come back. I think that its a large reason WHY there is such a harsh drrop off, for me that was the entire reason I stopped playing. I love the game, I don't have a lot of issues, but not being able to run warzone at a smooth 120 fps with a 7900xtx is CRAZY! I don't want to switch to bn and buy the game again, so I just stopped playing

Personal opinion… if I were Activision I would put all focus on the game that is purchased by the consumer and would slightly add stuff to the free to play version. Content isn’t the issue. It’s the over all retention loop. If the current content isn’t enough to keep players then what hope does new have? And why wait for that said to content to come? There’s so much copium in the idea that a map like nuke town was going to save the game. The entire gameplay design has to be checked.
The only thing that can save COD as a whole is a remaster of BO2. No season pass, no SBMM, no pre-order content, etc... just remake the game as it was in 2012 and update the graphics. That's ALL we need and want. But ofc they'll find a way to ruin it.

For zombies they are bringing back co op pausing do if your playing split screen you can freeze pause so that if you pause now you'll still be playing

Content isn’t the issue. It’s the over all retention loop. If the current content isn’t enough to keep players then what hope does new have? And why wait for that said to content to come? There’s so much copium in the idea that a map like nuke town was going to save the game. The entire gameplay design has to be checked.
The only thing that can save COD as a whole is a remaster of BO2.
No season pass, no SBMM, no pre-order content, etc... just remake the game as it was in 2012 and update the graphics. That's ALL we need and want. But ofc they'll find a way to ruin it.
If they do, they'll try to appeal to the next generation which is what kills the game imo.

Personally I really enjoyed Resurgence(Ribirth Island) but the SBMM has ruined the game.
We would get more in season2 if the game would function properly. they shifted a lot away for season2 (content wise) because they gonna look more at the gameplay things and others like bugs etc. more specific to the wz part. and its better because i want the game to run better (movement wise/gameplay, audio, servers, anticheat etc.) till verdansk dropps. imagine we would play verdansk in november release with this garbage. But overall im glad zombies is eating good this year.

I play on PC and lemme tell you it's very bad. People have auto aim, they can see through walls and some get 3 kills and can activate huge killstreaks

I do not care about how much new and "exciting" content there is coming out until i see proof that they have fixed the cheaters. The servers are second. Cheaters are first. If the servers are bad, at least i know that every player is more than likely not cheating, and it's a fair fight. I love zombies always have and always will, so I'll come back to try out the new map, but everything else, i dont care. I dont even care about sbmm or eomm. Just get a great anti cheat working, decent servers, and were good.

il be shocked if s2 is enough for WZ. yeah maybe they get the fixes in and dont bork the game like they usually do because they dont QA the fixes before release. but all in all wz as we have it now has been here for how long now? even with the new movement and inventory system its still the same map. nothing new. is anyone really gonna be bothering play the same stale map for another few months in hopes that verdansk is gonna come back? i doubt that in all honesty. they need to stop with only implimenting things with seasons and start dropping fixes and QOL stuff midway through the season. id rather spend a hour or 2 every few weeks getting an update to get the game in a good spot instead of waiting a few months for their fixes to break more stuff

I think we need less yearly games from both activision and treyarch. This franchise lost me as far as online stuff goes a long time ago. I try to hold on for the campaigns but those….well we all know how those have been going. These characters are non-sense. The games have gotten completely ridiculous. Long way to say simply….no, this will not save BO6 or even CoD for that matter.

They need to go back to MW 2019. COD has been getting worse and worse since then. Simpler operator skins, simpler gameplay, better aesthetics all around. The more COD becomes Fortnite, the worse it will get. Everyone likes to pretend that the only issues are servers and cheaters but COD has completely departed from its roots. I saw COD is dead, because what we have now is not Call of Duty anymore and it’s sad.
