Hi HorseMalone, Great news that you are going to ride ride ride, It doesn't matter what bike you ride as long as you enjoy yourself and enjoy your journey. Good luck on your adventures and have a good one mate.
This is a common fault with variable clutches, people normally leave them until they are completely worn out, but its best to have periodic checks at six to eight thousand intervals to clean and lube the bob weights and or shaft, never leave things until they go pop or it will be more expensive to repair later and in some circumstance I have seen unrepairable.
Good for all the younger one's to watch and learn.
Thanks mate for that great comment and I hope it will be useful to know how to fix things.
When I get my moped back on the road I'm gonna ride, ride, ride ! Oh funky moped !
