The Revolve is much better than my previous Soundlink color. I just bought one from Staples last week and purchased a protective cover for it. Getting a protective cover to the Revolve 2, you may carrying it more comfortably like what the Revolve Plus version, and you can hang the speaker to somewhere you wish to put when you have a protective cover. Well I’m really happy! I have two of the Revolve II speakers coming, as well as two charging docks. My first use case: to play music for a wedding that we will be celebrating in the British Virgin Islands on a 42 foot Catamaran sailing trip. My second and “primary” use case afterwards: to place them in the salon (or main cabin) of our Catalina 320 sailboat. Using the stereo mode and when placed on either side of the main cabin, the sound should completely fill it and sound beautiful. Fingers crossed for both applications! And of course, they will arrive well after we have left to go to our boat today. :)

I owned the first-generation Revolve+ for a few years. Definitely it was an excellent speaker, but I don't think it was worth $329 (US). I would consider it a good value for $200 (US). After a few years, the battery stopped holding a charge, so I wanted to replace it. Unfortunately Bose decided to use proprietary, non-standard fasteners that the average customer cannot open. So my Revolve+ needlessly went into the trash can.
Why not just leave it plugged in and use it as a non-portable speaker? Would it not allow for this? (And of course, that is unfortunate about the fasteners/non-replaceable battery).
@@chrisrioux It does not seem to work. My soundlink 2's battery is dead. It does not work on continuous power. It junk now unless i can figure something out.
Heads up - only the Bose Soundlink Resolve + II or the Bose Soundlink Resolve speakers allows the "party mode" or "stereo mode". Anything from Bose with the term "smart speaker" means no such feature yet the smart speakers are more expensive. NOTE: The Bose Soundlink Flex also supports party mode and stereo mode.
I picked up my Revolve II in April and absolutely love it. I didn't know they could be paired with anotherRevolve speaker, so it looks like I'll be getting another one. Thanks

Hi my little Canadian friend, as for the Bose revolve+. I got one the same day I bought the Bose soundware. One year later I bought a second RV+ when I found out you could pair it for party or stereo. And I've been pissing off the neighborhood ever sense. .. Iove you're little American friend......
For power users: pressing and holding the Bluetooth button is your best friend for powering on without connecting or separating party / stereo pairs without powering the entire system off. Great speakers, but all of us who bought the original versions with USB Micro got burned, accept for fast charging... If this supports USB PD then that makes these speakers worth it.
I have the original revolve+. I haven't used it all that much. I don't really know why. It is a great sounding speaker. If the revolve+2 speaker had USBC, then I'd upgrade. I don't know why the smaller speaker like the soundlink flex has USBC and the bose revolve+2 doesn't. I will not be upgrading at this time.
I have the smaller Soundlink. The Micro USB has been a problem for me since the beginning, so I bought the charging pad. When it stops charging, you need to update the firmware and/or sometimes reset the device. I've had to do this about four times in the pas 14 months (how long I've owned it). Now that is not working. Bose website says, it's up to date. I've tried all the tricks recommended by Bose, etc. It won't charge at all. So now it's plugged into my laptop via USB so I can listen to the news. I use this speaker mostly for the news in the morning before work...so 2 hours per day for 14 months. Bose wants $80 to repair. So won't be doing that since this is a defect. If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it. I did like the sound for my purposes though!
I ended up contacting Bose and they did fixed the speaker. Free shipping to and from--no charge. Works fine now. I asked them about the USB...and he understood it was a problem. Bose was very easy to deal with.
Hello, Thanks for very informative video. I am confuse between Bose home speaker 500 and Bose sound link revolve plus 2. Just on basis of sound quality which one do you think is better ?
So can you mix these two different speakers (Revolve 2 and Revolve Plus 2) and run in stereo mode so that it sounds at least as good as having two Revolve 2s for example? If you mix two different speakers, don't they have different volume levels? Ideally I'd have two Revolve 2s and then add another bigger speaker as a woofer, but I am finding no information anywhere with what that would work. Could you, for example use the Bose S1 as woofer in this combination?
Did anyone here upgrade from the Bose Soundlink II speaker? It’s a rectangular speaker with a fold down flap protector. I’m wondering about difference between those two where sound, and volume are concerned. I like the rich sound of my original Bose sound link two. Hoping someone has that first hand account info?
