- In this video, we discuss the physics behind dielectrics, and how on an atomic level this leads to various macroscopic changes. We introduce various new quantities such as polarisation, electric displacement, susceptibility and relative permittivity.
Near then end we apply these concepts to a problem involving a dielectric material, and how it changes the electric field in that vicinity.
