What is Nell's problem? She is always grumpy, yelling at and threatening somebody mostly Addy and also short tempered. She is not nice to her friends or family, she needs to interact with someone who can match her temperament such as Claire huxtable, Weezie, the mother from what's happening , or Harriette Winslow.
M Alexander exactly. season 1-2 nell was like an aunt. you can talk to her about any of your problems. then as season 3 came along she was always snobby.
That because of the writers and producers... I think they brought in new writers in season 3 on... So it's something like that. It's not necessarily the fault of the actors and actresses.

And her character was NOT like that the 1st 2 seasons of the series. By the 6th season her character was horribly mean to everyone
