For sure!! Bring it just as strong for us on Number 2 please!!! Mark Price is a fascinating, cool, wise ambassador of surfing. Loved hearing his perspectives on all the various topics. The guys pretty legendary in the surf industry listening to his career path seems like he’s definitely got perspective covered. Wasn’t aware of the man until seeing your interview with him. Glad to know about him because the guy definitely inspires me!! Thanks guys!

I know I'm late to the party, but I found that interview incredibly intriguing. Would love to see a part 2 if it hasn't already been done. I love how Price says he "limited" his choices in life. I changed university mid semester and even chose my grad school based on its proximity to the coast and have 0 regrets. Surfing is a way of life (something my wife has difficulty understanding lol). Anyway, thanks for another awesome interview Chris!

The interview was great! Mark price sounds like an extremely intelligent, experienced and well rounded individual. It was a real treat to hear him talk about his life experiences, FireWire and dealings with Kelly Slater. I would definitely enjoy seeing a part two.
I think a cool topic might be rider selection. In other words, how the riders were selected or how they came about. Was it the riders interest in FireWire, or was FireWire more interested in the riders? Thank you for the interview and video. And thanks to Mark price for agreeing to the interview.

+Shred Show Hi ShredShow just have some ideas not sure if they to open... if you ding a timbertech board how easy (if possible) it is to fix it (compared to fixing a pu or epoxy)
some of there boards come in different techs how do the techs change the performance.
would different techs be better for different conditions and why.
does the shaper need to take the take into consideration when shaping the board ( Machado boards are all in timbertech)

Excellent brother. Well done! Great questions. Marc Price brings so much to the table for surfing, etc. that is a true blessing for all participants.( I love how surfing is maturing and to look at where we are new vs. how it was perceived back aways is crazy.) The insights brought forth here are beneficial across other industries obviously and I learned a lot. Formats such as these are going to play a large role in benefitting the environment as the outdoor industry continues to grow. Govt. policy can and will be shaped as our lobby gains more influence. We have both a selfish and selfless role to play and I hope we all get involved in a million ways of all shapes and sizes. There's an article in the latest Outside Magazine that touches on this that I'm going to read next that should be interesting also. Keep up the great work!

First off, good for you doing great and indepth interviews. You don't see too many things like this in the surf industry. This is really amazing content. I hope you enjoyed doing it.
I know you are still fleshing things out but if I were to offer some constructive criticism here is what I say, as a person who conducts interviews
You prep your questions very well (The lead up to the question). But i'd say when you actually ask the question, be more concise, and brief. You explain your question a lot (which I think you do to make sure your question is understood by Mark Price) but sometimes it can pigeon hole or steer the interviewee into answering the question a certain way. Being brief also allows more freedom of discussion for the person answering the questions to go on interesting tangents. Not saying that Mark didnt do that this interview.. but just in general.
Watch some Barbara Walters interviews as reference and pick and choose some techniques you like from her.
Anyway, great stuff, hope you don't take my minor critique as me snubbing my nose to your content. As a content creator myself, I dig guys that are trying new things on youtube. Only trying to support!
    GOOD WORK!

Really great interview, thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm about to go and buy a Baked Potato today in LFT and to be honest I wasn't aware that every board was built in Thailand, but because of his unashamedness of their factory location, I don't feel the same stigma as I do for other companies. What I would love to know is more about why thailand, how they run their shaping processes, who do they employ, how did they set up and to ultimately dispel the myth of quality vs locally shaped and made.

A lot of the allure of surfboards comes from the artistic side of them, but at the same time the perfection of modern boards is very impressive. I'd be interested to know how Mark and Yourself feel about the more automated manufactured surfboards as opposed to the "magic" of a hand shaped board. I personally love what both offer, but thought it might be an interesting point of discussion with two people who are closer to the industry.
