The biggest thing to remember is everything that happens is Gods plan. Whatever happens, He has said he is with us and will never leave us or forsake us.
I really appreciate how you articulated this balance. EVERYTHING should be under the authority of scripture so there are principles to vote for as He gives us wisdom. But our hope is not in government.
It deeply troubles me as an intense history buff you keep referring to one of the candidates as simply a cult of personality. When someone tells you over and over again who they are, I think it falls on us to believe them. When someone tells you they want to put Liz Cheney (with views that closely align with my own policy views) in front of a 9-person firing squad for simply vocalizing her First Amendment right about that person's qualifications to serve a second term, he's only reinforcing that he's too dangerous to be given another term. We have seen this play out too many other times in history with other countries and I think it's a clear choice in the other direction. It weighs so heavy on me to even leave this comment. It's left me feeling out on a limb for so many years wondering how so many Christians can strongly support a candidate who I don't see holding any Christian values or ANY policies AT ALL, outside of getting rid of healthcare, getting rid of immigrants, adding Tarrifs, tax breaks for the wealthy, and going after his enemies. I see the many non-Biblical ways they lead their life and it makes me question why the people in the church are so willing to look past it or even put him on a pedestal. This term will not be a repeat of 2016 because all the Republican people of principle have left the party or don't support the candidate. He wants to rid the cabinet of anyone who doesn't pledge their allegiance to him. He flip-flops on his abortion policies because they are not his personal views, just the people he's trying to win over. The bottom line is he's running for his own personal power and to avoid prison.

NGC University is fabulous.

Look at Titus 3:1-11
