I agree with you about the weight, but have also grown to appreciate how heavy it is. I took it camping and when really strong winds started blowing all of the campsites over I feared my grill and ribs might go as well. The RT-340 never budged! Love this hunk of metal.
Does it fit below the bedrails? Looking for a unit that would be below the bedrails so that it doesn't interfere with our fifth wheel or fit under a tonneau cover when the trailer isn't connected. Thanks!
Awesome review, thanks a lot. I was going to buy the bullseye, but I am now considering the 340. That is exactly what I will be using mine for, heading to Myrtle in July from pa. Thanks again and take care!
Great review. Just came across your video. I’m looking at the exact same model. My only concern is will it fit in the back of my truck. I noticed you have an F150. mine is 21 but I have a bed cover on it. How low does it sit in the bed?
It won't fit under the bed cover. That sucked, I had to keep the cover open on the back. Good question. Thanks for watching and commenting. (It was also very heavy)
As long as you have a 110 volt in truck bed, otherwise you have to bring a generator
Not all 110 circuits in automobiles hold enough wattage. At the time my F150 Raptor wouldn't do it. I used a power pack.
We are looking at a propane generator for our RT340. For the camping trips..
Make sure you check this video out on my other channel....ruclips.net/video/MQHUZy0PQY4/видео.html

I'm watching this video at work. Using the same speaker you have on the back of your truck.

What generator do you use??

@@DelmarvaBackyard I’ve got a Yoder YS640 so this would be much easier to manage 😂
Where on the DemMarVa you located?
What make and model generator do you use?
How much does it weigh with no pellets on board?
Near as makes no difference, 100lbs
It's a great smoker I've had it for 15 months and I use it most weekends... Love it
Awesome smoker. Gmg davey crockett runs off 12 volt
Besides an offset (which is on order)this grill would complete my wants/needs! I like the new logo too btw.
Great Video! We are down in Ocean Pines....
What kid of sausages are those? They look good!
is it it big enough for briskets?
Yes. A typical 17lb brisket fits perfectly.
Yeah, I've gotten a 22lb brisket in mine no issues
Nice! Got a rt700 this looks interesting
Great review on the Rec Tec. Nothing like hanging out with family and friends, did you catch anything?
you mean RECTEQ... lol. Great Grills
A Weber kettle can do all this and not need any electricity. Also cost way less
Thats mostly true, but that Rec Teq looks really awesome and there is no fire management. You just sit back a relax. Thanks for watching.
Great review Mike. Love my RT-700, so the 340 is a good bet for its size. Best part of the video is the flag on your truck. God Bless America!
What generator do you have?
Wen 2000 Power Inverter - Absolutely awesome piece of equipment. Quiet and reliable. Thanks for watching
