  • The day has finally come! We had a long weekend away to Glen Affric in Doug. We met up with a few friends who brought their tents. It didn't quite go as planned but we made the most of it as you'll see!

It's great to see Doug "in action". He's a bit like a tardis inside. Super location, despite the weather. The shower is impressive and the soup from scratch looked excellent. Craig

Typical Scottish weather 4 seasons in one day lol. Just as well West Coast folk are a hardy breed x

We still need to tot it up actually but have been keeping track so will let you know 👌 we might do a quick video rundown as we definitely saved the pennies with a few tricks / upcycling pieces, and learned a few things we'd avoid in future!

Which model of Citroen Dispatch do you have, the L2H1?

Fallen dead wood is fine to fuel your campfire but you shouldn't chop down or damage any trees.
I have camped on the opposite side of the river, and I doubt that you were able to find amount of dead wood for your fire.

Further up the road at the Loch Affric circuit car park tree surgeons had been removing some trees and had left behind a large amount of wood which they said we could use. Thanks for your concerns though.
