I was a kid when Ramayana and Mahabharata were telecast on DD. Such fond memories rekindled thanks to DD in lockdown times. Such fabulous casting for each and every character.
Puneet ji, the most bad ass Duryodhan ever. What an actor, what a personality. Even in filmi roles he plays villain very well. Love from Mauritius.

Puneet issar sir was that time struggling bcos whole Indian was treating him villian after coolie movie Amitabh sir's accident for which he still felt guilty but since it was just an accident and even amitji told this in a press conference that it was not puneet's mistake and Amit ji did consule puneet ji for not to feel guilty as it was just an accident.
I just love puneet issar's voice as duryodhan😘😘 it's different level😍😍❤❤his expressions are killer 😍😍❤❤i just love his acting as duryodhan 🥰🥰

Puneet Issar such a nice man. Was a kid when Border movie was released, I cried when his character died in the movie.

I wasn't even born when this was made or aired. My mother used to tell me whenever Mahabharat was aired on Sundays entire neighborhood went silent. There were no one to be seen on roads. It was like a natural lockdown. Very few people had TVs in India back then. And whoever had a TV had seats fully booked beforehand.
Even I was not born then. I watched it on DD when it was retelecasted in late 90s (1998 or 99) or early 2000, at11 AM every sunday, just before Shaktiman. This version is itself an epic!
NOBODY will be able to play Duryodhan like Puneet Issar did! He Heath Ledgered Duryodhan!
Neil dutta why compare him with Heath ? Puneet ji has his own level.

When are you coming to Jaipur for Mahabharat? I have been a great fan of BR Chopra's Mahabharat. I loved everyone's performance. Dr. Raza's dialogues were the soul of the serial.
You are correct.. Dr. Rahi Mazoom Raza's dialogues are superb.. Cast also excellent.. These are the two reasons for its success..it is really a classic.. Now I am very happy to watch it again
Unbelievable masterclass and screen play by sir masom Reza but I also love the narration given by time and that favourite line "Me samay Hu" is still fresh bcus Br Chopra Mahabharata never gets old. Even if you have seen 999 times you will repeat on 1000 time again

Saw plenty of Mahabharat screenplays on television and web, These two had played the characters so phenomenal that no one can reach this level of live acting, Hats of to the simplicity of the play and directions
Everyone in mahabharat did a great job. And puneet & gufi ji were too good. They even had a touch of comedy whenever they appeared. I want to watch mahabharat again and again.

This is reason of epic. Dedication of understanding character and then bringing them alive. This is commendable.
I never watched a Hindi film and cast but when Mahabharat is dubbed and started in lockdown in our mother tongue after seeing those episodes Day by Day my interest was increasing and I felt the whole and each n every character very close...the cast , dialogues, script , artists, msg is awesome. and barathwaj is real Krishna, *he is man born to do Krishna character* but every artist is perfect in their role....this soul I didn't find in todays new Mahabharat

All actors were completely brilliant. Total Puneet Issar fan. He is very knowledgeable and articulate
