Title: Machines that move like people do. Greg Lynn, Piaggio Fast Forward
Discussion of the design of robots and their navigation that begins with moving with people within a radius of one to two meters as a starting point for design. Topics will include, understanding and translating into measurable performance how people move with one another and things, design specifications of interaction with people that can be translated for use by edge computing devices, structuring and exploiting database of human motion using ML and AI methods, engineering robots to perform with human compatible motion, and comprehensive design from form, to color, materials, motion, lighting, sound, devices, and ergonomics.
