John was an amazing rider and to win on the Cagiva was awesome. He deserved so much more riding the 500's
One of if not THE best looking gp bikes ever.
I totally agree. Why a production replica wasn't available, or even worked on today is a crime. I understand that there was a very limited version available at that time. I need one in my garage.
At least a 250 streetbike like Aprilia RS 250, Suzuki RG 250, Yamaha TZR 250, Honda NSR 250 and whatever we had back in those days.
It would have been fantastic.
Ah,I miss The Legendary 500cc era
Back when Kevin Schwantz,Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson,Alex Barros, and Australian 5 time Champions,Mick Doohan on ride
Keep this historical "ON THIS DAY"
Thanks for this awesome archive, MotoGP!!!
Doesnt get better than that! 0% Electronics 100% Twostroke Power!
Take the electros out and Rossi is still king
it looked like John's bike never shuddered during turns and exiting turns. Steady machine he rode that day.
Kocinski was a very very good rider.... definately gave them all something to think about...
Thankyou for showing this good quality video. That era of 500’s was the best. 👍
1:53 great outside overtaking by Luca Cadalora
Made Edo lol, ruclips.net/video/A4ArVdui8tE/видео.html
I just scrolled down to make this comment haha, wow!
Balls of steel GP era!
I actually got to sit on the 11 Cagiva, my buddy Giovanni Castiglioni had it in his living room :). I also tried to wear John's helmet but it would not fit. Good times i'll never forget.
That Cagiva was a really nice bike 👀
It is timeless design
@@1975CATCHME looks like it came from the mid 2000s
Magic era, magic riders... Thanks for the sound! 🎼
Luca's pass on Mike all class!
I was there! Enjoyed that win, I owned a Cagiva at the time.
This was a fantastic accomplishment... a great rider, team and bike... a very worthy win...
What a move by Cadalora @1:54!
Luca going around the outside of Doohan, Gold!
Back in the old days where you could privateer and didn't need several million to keep up with a whole season. My hat's off to those few, final men, going on their own.
best looking 500 bike, Cagiva
Kosciniczie was totally on it! No one could touch him! He set such an outstanding pace with the other riders. An Excellent performance!
I miss Cagiva! Wish they would return in the MotoGP class like MV Agusta did in Moto2!
ᛗᛁᚾᛖᚱᚡᚨ'ᛋ ᛟᚹᛚ i wish i had the money back in the day to buy one of their lovely 250cc 2 stroke road bikes, i believe it was. Those were gorgeous...
Cagiva is dead and gone, sadly.
Now is Ducati era haha deng
@@StarkRaven59 not in finland, cagiva mitos are pretty popular here still
@@szewei85 ... Cagiva = Ducati , it is same company.
They just stopped before wining decause no more money for competition.
After, they prefered to use Ducati because they sold 4T bikes Ducati.
This bike is the antecessor of the modern Ducati.
Great and incredible victory, for Crazy John, Cagiva and Team Agostini
Little John was running on rails with that Cagiva. Kosinski was obscenely talented, I suppose the frame on the team roberts yzr just wouldn't work for his particular style. He's actually smaller than king kenny in his prime if thats possible. I remember him saying in an interview, "you can't throw these things around like a 250, a lot more power, all the negative press these things get is a bunch of crap"
Please bring motogp back to eastern creek!
2:54 Nice to see Barry Sheene doing the interviews.
Always a huge Kosinski fan! Great, great rider! Loved him I’m WSBK
Best looking to bike ever made
RIP Barry 🙌🏻 little John was was something special on the day 👌🏻😎
Still a stunning bike the cagiva c593
John really had maybe the most beautiful riding style of anyone!
....che bella la Cagiva 💪🇮🇹👊✊
Please bring more classic highlights like this
I never tire of watching John Kocinski riding a Gp bike.
These bikes were under 300 lbs. 160+ whp, a 2500-3000 rpm powerband and the rider was TC, EBC, ABS and wheelie control on meh tire compared to even road tires today. Marquez who?
Grande corrida da Cagiva, os japoneses entraram em pânico, pena a Cagiva ter falta de dinheiro...
Yeeeeesssssssss!!!!! yesssss !!!!!!yessss!!!!!! wwwwwww ALE CAGIVAAAAAAA!!!!!! SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!! E CASTIGLIONI❤❤❤❤ CEEEEEEEE'!!!!!!!!!!!!!🇮🇹 TABURINI!❤❤❤❤❤ SIIIII CAGIVAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Vai Jhoon!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I remember watching that race live- NOBODY was gonna touch JK that day - not even Mr. DOOHAN
Brilliant racing with the feeling of being on the edge of control,, no electronics 100 percent brain power,, and awesome 2 stroke power,, ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
The classics, back to 80's
ミックをアウトからかわすルカのスーパーテクニック😂✌️🚲🚲❇️❇️❇️❇️
I don't remember them running at Eastern Creek! Thought they only ran at Philip Island at this time.
Hated to see cagiva go away, had a chance to ride a wmx250 in the late 80's, it was as fast or faster than all four japanese 250s. I was shocked how competitive that bike was, 88 model.
Pure racing bikes.. just finely tuned power, and your right wrist 👊🏼
When you can tell precisely whose bike it is by the rear brake lever on the handlebars.
The beginner was Mik Doohan, due leg brake. Then many people's discover that is useful to have on hand.
0:10 Unintentionally brilliant glitch art
This is two stroke music. Not sounds. I think the Cagiva, the NSR and RGV were at their best forms. Just beauties!!!! The TZR although it was as fast as the others it wasn't so beautiful. And maybe in the back of the grid i think i saw a KR-1 or not .....
ah this Cagiva is beautyful ❤️
Grande Luca!!!💪🏻🇮🇹
1994 , Kevin Schwantz last full season in grand pix racing
Before the age of teeny tiny motogp racers when you had to have more umph to wrestle with those 500`s.
Sensational indeed!
Cagiva 😍❤️
fenomenale
Superhuman Cadalora at 1:55 😮
I was at that race.also the first time I saw troy bayliss in a 600 support race.
1:58 wow!!
old is gold
Don't think Doug Chandler was in the Kozinski fan club, dough!!!😀😀😀
30 anni fa.
Kocinski un grande,ma Agostini di più e poi Cagiva.
Oggi solo ricordi e Cagiva non esiste più!
Love these stuff! I think it would be better if somebody narrated it
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
@@Mr_Storm_22 well, this is my opinion 😅
@@pokemonhi9024 I don't like narration
Great rider always feared he would win when he was in the pack either in 500cc or WSBK
CAGIVA N1
Keep on giving better content especially from the 500cc era!
I love 2stroke bike 4ever😍🤩🤩
2stroke💖
He looks like Fabio quartararo🧐
I ermember this great result on this the best lookin race bike eva and john deserved it he road faultlessly and was not able to find consistency as much as the others brilliant win oerfect race
2:10 thumb brake already ??
Thats for you ClaudioC.
I had that helmet back in the days.
I seem to remember him saying when he went to that team was "set it up like Eddie rides it." More or less.
It worked for Dohan too
2 stroke never dies
Forza cagiva!!
John ha lasciato le briciole a tutti gl'altri.
Can you upload 1996 Chech GP and 1998 Australia GP?
Why is it that need to ignore 4:3 original format and put music over it? Great content anyway.
J ADORE
Good morning 🌞

2⃣0⃣世紀版モトGP 9⃣0⃣年代は当時 嵌まっていなかった! (2⃣1⃣世紀2⃣0⃣0⃣7⃣年にスタートした)
Anyone have the lap times handy ? Would love a lap to lap comparison to modern equipment
He mentioned being happy to maintain high 31's in interview.
Maybe thats all the tyres at the time could manage..
Aus sbk riders lap into low 30's during races and sometimes 29's.
Both MotoGP and superbikes lap much faster today than those 500's did. Race pace on the same tracks, MotoGP bikes are about 8 or more seconds faster, and modern superbikes about 4 seconds faster.
Much more power, electronics especially, much better tires and semi-active suspension, much lighter bikes (they add weight to them to meet FIM), etc...
@@langhamp8912 The big improvement is the tires. Those two strokes back in the day were very lightweight machines. I would imagine a 500 cc two stroke with the aid of the modern electronics and tires would still be competitive today.
@@curtisssmith5204 Miguel DuHamel mentioned in an interview that the early crude versions of traction control gave riders who had it an insurmountable advantage over those that didn't have it. Riders with traction control can learn to slip-grip their tires without usually crashing, and like a trapeze artist with a safety net bigger and more impressive stunts can be achieved. Modern riders can race much closer on the edge as true highsides have been mostly eliminated.
Big balls road racing.....
Only one King and thats Kenny.
With the Shoei helmets (design borrowed from Kenny Sr.) the design looked more like a chicken than sn eagle. Bell helmets seemed tobhave gotten it tight.
Once more time Italian products on top✌🏻
That Cagiva, had a Yamaha engine!
ジョンコシンスキーだ!カジバ今どーなってるんだ?😄👍
Does anyone know the helmet model that John is using?
Shoei John Kochinski replica.
The Cagiva driver looks like Fabio Quartararo
The best
Haha wonderful
Mantapppp bawa kopi
2:07 is this a clutch lever or brake on the right ??
It's Doohan's bike on the left! The longer one is the clutch and the shorter one is the rear brake!!
😍🇮🇹😍🇮🇹😍🇮🇹😍🇮🇹👍👍👍
First time J.Kocinski smiling ?
You don’t see lapped riders anymore.
I wish we could see racing like that again. The current racing is unwatchable.
Ada yg bsa jlsin pbrikn cagiva?
Yeah, Celtic blood.
He looks a bit like Casey Stoner
👍👍👍👍👍
