    That is a very tidy little system. Looks well laid out, and the heat exchange and pumps are certainly bigger than needed. Very cool.

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  2 года назад

      Yeah the pumps are large but also the extra power is nice especially when using the plate heat exchanger which has a bit of resistance in this unit.

    Thanks for the great video and equipment. Do you have the brewfather equipment profile for the Brewzilla 200L 3v system ? I'm in the process of transfering my recipees from single vessel 45L to this bigger system. Would be great to have the settings to make that transfer easier.

  • @Trevor.Morrice

    Brewha Equipment makes a 1000L single vessel. it even pressure ferments

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  2 года назад

      Yes once you have paid for the gantry crain it ends up being cheaper just to make a three vessel system. It's also more complicated to use and empty the malt pipe so if I was using these larger systems commercially my gut feeling is that you would end up costing more in labour down the track for malt pipe movements, the CIP cleaning is more involved and I dont quite see the advantage of the larger Brewha systems. Do you know any commercial breweries that are using the larger Brewha gear and are happy with it?

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  2 года назад +1

      Sorry I think I explained that wrong. We can't put them on the ground as the vessels need to be above the pumps so this height dictates the height and therefore makes it not erganomical to use without a step. Hope that makes a bit more sense.

  • @spectrumhomebrew
    @spectrumhomebrew 2 года назад

    Nice setup, although i would like to be a mash stirrer option, and possible to return hot wort into kettle after the heat exchanger (whirpool port).

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  2 года назад

      Yes that is a fair point. We might look at a mash stirrer as an ad on extra. Yes normally what you would do is use the same flexible hose that you would normally fill your fermenter with. So at the end of the boil I would heast sterilise this hose and recirculate from the boiler, through the heat exchanger then back to the boiler for at least enough time to heat sterilise the heat exchanger.

    Why is the knockout hole (the one behind the hop blocker) so close to the middle of the kettle? Wouldn’t you get less of the true pile if it were further towards the edge? Thanks!

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  Год назад

      We have not had this issue so far as the cone on the base is enough to ensure the hops heaps in the middle.

  • @clubroot3383
    @clubroot3383 Год назад

    Tidy setup. The mash tun could cause a few issues as it looks difficult to manually work the mash to avoid a stuck mash, especially with a high grain bill and if using ingredients like rye, oats and wheat and uncooked grains. Why can't the kettle be initially used as the HTL for brew day? This would free up valuable space for a temperature controlled fermenter even a unitank?

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  Год назад

      Yes you can definitely use the Kettle as an HLT if you want to. Generally speaking customers who purchase this brewery need multiple fermenters so we wanted to keep the fermenters separate to the brewery.

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  2 года назад +5

      Once you are standing on the platform it's not that difficult to stir by hand. With that said I think you are right and we should probably make an add on extra which is a motorised mash stirrer.
