As I’ve never played an SRW game before, I’m very fascinated to play one with your overall hype and love for the series. This list really helps where I may want to jump in at.
Great video Bao
Thank you so much!
I would say L is a good send off for the SRW series for the DS. It has a large selections of animes covered, and a very good soundtrack.
Played a couple of official English entries. Now I will play these Japanese ones as well! You sold me to it!
One thing that i hope will happen with the success of 30 is the enitre OG saga for modern platforms specially in PC even if it is just a 1 to 1 official english version of the ps2 and ps 3 OG games maybe even add to that the lord of elementals games~
Its so awesome to see more srw fans.
I got chills down my spine when the fight iczer one theme came on
OGG was probably the only SRW game where I failed a stage for a reason other than "ally/enemy that shouldn't blow up blew up". And that stage was the final Shura stage with Alkaid's Raha Extim where I just kept running out of SP and after that he outpaced my damage with his ridiculous HP regeneration (doesn't he also regen his HP fully like twice after transforming?). I had to grind that stage for hours and even after that I needed to fill Latooni and Excellen with SP drinks for Enable and Daunt and spam like 7 HTB cannons.
I liked T not only was it a decent game but also cause it was the debut of the awesome Fantasy Ieksai/Mecha show Magic Knight Rayearth into the SWR series
Keep up the good work bro
Thank you. Will do.
I felt like X was a missed opportunity all around, it had a great concept, like SRW Gaiden with Masaki(With him even appearing on X), but I felt they didn't commit to the bit enough or just handled it's series abit awkwardly, it could had been a great fantasy focused SRW entry had T and it just swapped a few series in.
I haven't played any SRW but I played SD Gundam G generation cross rays. I love it so I'm sure I'll get into this and this helps me figure out what game I should start with thanks
Hope you enjoy your first game! These are more story driven than SD Gundam, but it's like the sister series to it so you'll likely feel right at home
SRW A is awesome cmon man
I love J because the enemy reinforcements made it great for farming! I used to dread it but the game made me love it hahahahah I really loved the tough puzzle games between the intermissions~
I would have switched SRW A and R on this list. Reversal was a great introduction to the series, with balanced difficulty and a great roster. That said, Advance had punishing difficulty and the narrative tone of Universal Century, which just made it more satisfying to play.
Okay, so to touch on this old video, the reason for the hatred with Mist is due to the ABYSMAL writing that he was given, saying certain things at the absolute worst possible time and it often made him come off as an unapologetic, unrepentant hypocrite. One particular moment of which he said he was sick of protecting the people of Earth, in a scenario where he was horrified by how much the people of Earth were willing to kill each other and ignore the very obvious extinction-level threats before them, such as the Festum from Fafner in The Azure, the Memetic Beasts from Godannar, and SRW K's OG villains the Edax. Overall, K's story was very sloppy, and Mist ended getting some of the worst the writing had to offer.
I recommend new players to start from VXT trilogy due to how easily accessible, I found new entry little boring and too many repeat robots but they made some effort to nerf robots to certain games so player can use other robots. As for me I started out with GBA OG 1&2 and Portable A (Eng) which was great for me and I really like OG series more than main series due to that reason.
OGG damage sponges may be bad but just wait for the type of inflation A Portable will present if you ever go back to it.
All I can say is that not even the enemy units could escape inflation.
A portable was genuine hell for me
Surprised OG PS2 remake was this low over all but good so far!
My 3 dislike SRT games are OE(Sux arse in most aspects), X(Story sux & too focused on Wataru... What is this, Super Robot Taisen Wataru?), & Z3 2 Tengoku Hen(As the final Z game, it is meh..... The story is meh, the chara development is also kinda meh.....)
For others, i like 'em almost equally, except for 7 games that will commented on part 2 of this video :D
Can't wait to see your Top 15
Excellen and Kyosuke debuted in Compact, not Impact.
Which impact is a remake of.
I liked this video. This is the bottom of rank list but you said a lot of good things about each game and they deserve it. Good voice too. Looking foward part 2.
Thank you!
Too bad this series is so hard to actually play b/c getting a copy of some of these games is imposable.
please do a full history review for the og saga 😢😢 !
Hmm not a bad idea
@@BaoZakeruga but PLEASE start w las gias saga. It's only right 😮💨
Hey man we all got our opinions. But having played every srw game so far, i feel that moon dwellers truly has the greatest animations. I played T right after my MD run recently, and the quality of animations is so bad.
Plus moon dwellers actually has some challenge compared to all the recent additions. The negative to moon dwellers is that it is a bit too long feeling in the early-mid game.
Those are my thoughts
For Me J rates way higher because I really enjoy fighting waves of enemies
i actually've read thirsty, i was inmediately interesed, don't take me wrong i was just slightly dissapointed after the realization....
Hmm guessing you never finished any of the snes games then. Cause even though I love them I feel they would have been on the lower half of the list.
Nope never finished any of them. This is pretty much PS1 and on.
Bao are u crazy!?
Yes
@@BaoZakeruga LOL
I literally just got here and I’m seeing the comment section is getting out of hand ;P
@@BaoZakeruga ok noted XD
Is it safe to assume that all the games shown with Japanese footage have no English Asian versions/fan translations?
Pretty much. Though all of them have in-depth story guides/menu guides/whatever else you would need to play. There's really nothing stopping you from playing most entries and not know what's going on. The average srw fan doesn't know a lick of Japanese and play just fine while knowing what's going on
Time stamps would have helped this video alot
From a creator's standpoint I disagree.
You put V higher than X and V?
No Classic games.. Ether you love them or haven't played them.
You'll have to tune in for part 2 to see.
So OGs is not only just little less than OG2, but rather way below that (since OG2 was close to the top) just for the nostalgic reasons? Or am I wrong? Lol XD
Honestly J is a great game but its only issue to be honest is the reinforcements like you said. It made the game drag out a bit.
Yeah I loved it otherwise
@@BaoZakeruga I also thought Boss in J was great. I felt like it was prolly the only few games where Boss wasn’t useless.
Not to mention J has an annoying AI quirk that if the enemy has 0% hit chance on a unit they will just ignore it, meaning enemies would often make a beeline to your slow supers and battleships. And if your ship also was dodgy, the enemies would do absolutely nothing during their turn.
