Loving your work Hebbs. Pure beat mix magic. Something I always loved to perfect in my mixes. Sadly had to sell my decks due to buying my own house. Never sold the Vinyl though and one day the decks will be back. Loving your classic trance. Memories of Gatecrasher and Godskitchen.....😊
Can we have a download link of mp3 flac or something like that that has more quality than the compression of youtube even if it is sponsored by my friend, I would gladly support a link like this, I LOVE REAL TRANCE?
I've just found this mix today, lots of tunes I haven't heard before. I am an old fart of 53 with the same love for Trance/EDM/Electronica that I had when I first heard this genre 35 years ago, I don't think I will ever tire of trance.Great mix, will keep me and the dog company for many miles of walks
EDM destroyed the whole trance genre. Can you name at least one masterpiece that has been released/played that crowd will listen in 20/30 years from now on
I am not that old as i am only 27 so i missed parties when these hits were fresh... But still i am listening to trance since childhood and I knew almost every track from this mix. After listening to hundreds other (decent!) Mixed i definitely feel this is one of the best i ever heard. Amazing job. Amazing mixing and feeling the music. Regards from Poland, wish you amazing 2022.
These are the songs you aren’t necessarily able to recall on command, but they return to active memory almost on their own whim…just like most memories of those days…people and places lost to time…eh nothing really matters 😎 Side note: it always amazed me that Solarcoaster never got more attention than it did.
stumbled across this through the algorithm today ( apparently its not only bs huh? ) . Wonderfull . Im 52 by now, this mix actually makes me remember the 90s ( which I thought wouldn't be possible XD ) . +1 susbcribers, eager to explore your channel .
p.s.: I am trying to find the VinylMaxi "Krakatoa" - no, not the Hard Rock band . I remember the song/theme very precisely, but from the cover, I only recall "Kraktoa"...not the Label, Artist, anything .
While I was searching for 'The Morrighan - Remember (Lange mix)' I came across this video some years ago. It makes me wondering how it was possible to mix with vinyl records, at this point I had no knowledge how to mix music at all. I knew people mostly use CDJ's for mixing, but that never made me interested in mixing music. It probably looks a lot less interesting. So after watching this video it got my interest and I did a lot of research about it. I ended up with buying some equipment myself last year and mostly in the weekends I play a lot of music and really enjoy it. It was this exact video where it all started so thanks for this Hebbs. I never experienced going to the club when DJ's use vinyl because the turntables were long gone by then, but people like you still keep it alive.
@@sannnah Thanks for asking! I'm still mixing and practicing, still enjoy it. Also the vinyl collection is growing bit by bit. I have some of my mixes online on my youtube channel if you are interested. Not even close to Hebbs 100% perfect sets haha, but we all have to start somewhere.
You know when a song is good when you come back to this mix a year later and want to find it on Discogs only to find "Flat 6 - It's Too Late" is already in my wantlist with 'Hebbs' in the notes :-) Looking forward to your next set this weekend!!
Hello from New Zealand, (UK expat). I guess when these live sessions go out they will be on my mornings? Great start to the day if so haha! Classic trance never gets old!
Certainly made my evening, not live but certainly into it now! Raally enjoyed it even more from 2hours in. Thanks for taking your, and family's? time to share the love of vinyl. (I know its a timely process!) Commenting around the 02:44:34 mark ;) Greetings from a Saffa in Germany. DJOZMO. Peace
hey man, as a fellow maker of techno, the classics, you really bring me home with this set. You're an excellent DJ man, rare to find tbh but you've got the touch! Keep it up, sub'd. EDIT: I love the vinyls I miss my old turntable.
JBN - All I Want (Mark O'Tool Remix Edit) - - such a distinct sound of Marc O' Tool... can hear Passenger and Come Along in this edit... sadly went browsing on his discogs today, didn't know that he had passed away in 2020 from suicide. Great build up in this set btw - i feel this is really missing from today's scene / modern trance.. every party is FULL ON for the entire set of every DJ. Maybe it's because in festivals they play only 90mins.. but anyway, it's a big part of what made so many older nights so memorable, the journey going from A to B with a great building set, not just bangers.
Ah didnt know marc had passed, terrible shame 😔 I defo agree, people don't seem to have as much patience these days for a longer building trance sets at events.
Fkn enjoyed watching those turntables go around and round as I let Sunday afternoon high hats creep back in to my weekend ... cheers bro - Ill look for more of your stuff.
II lived through the 90´s and early 2000's when trance music was at it absolute best. I hardly ever find any thing, that i have not heard before... up until now, i did not know i needed these 2 songs ( K90 - Deliverance and Mesh - Purple Haze ) Thank you Hebbs ;-)
Hebbs, can you identify the first track on this track in this 1993 hard trance live mix by Cosmic Baby in Florida? I got to it looking for something I remembered while poring over your amazing catalogue. This is some of the trippiest shit I’ve heard in a while. Frustrating there is no track list, because some of these great tracks may also become “forgotten trance”. I didn’t recognize anything until 22:53 (or perhaps 21:30 if there’s a long intro) when he drops “Cafe Del Mar”! This is September 1993 in Florida! I didn’t even discover trance until 1998 thanks to Oakenfold’s “Tranceport” CD, which, of course has a remix of “Cafe Del Mar”. Before then I was listening to IDM, if you’re old enough to remember Aphex Twin and Autechre 😂🤣 I decided to look up “Cafe Del Mar”, and I learned that Energy 52 first released it in 1993 on Eye Q, which I know as Cygnus X’s label. Turns out that Energy 52 is Paul Schmitz-Moormann and Harald Blüchel, who is Cosmic Baby! So it all b3gins to make sense. It’s funny how so many trance fans today think of the late 90s - early 00s as the golden era of trance, but these German guys were already cranking out some transcendental, very psychedelic hard trance at the beginning of the decade. After “Cafe Del Mar” most of the songs I know from listening after 1998. I had no idea some of them are this old. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Café_del_Mar_(song)
most of what was coming out and gaining the scene popularity in 98-00 were the first reiterations of those classics from the early 90s when the originals came out..
