Sometimes I feel the hero so stupid to let the emperor trigger the great disaster. Only Arc and Elc to face him and use the protagonist negotiation to make Emperor freak. Why not Shu came and use his ninja skill to kill emperor without his notice. Or Iga use the magic bullet to shot him. Even Gogen can use his sleeping or paralyzed magic to make Emperor immoblize. RPG games storyline always cruel.
Well one thing for certain that's right from the tvtropes page of this game. The Dark One sure as hell pulled a very good Xanatos Gambit. Either way this was going to end very badly. And i played this game years ago thinking about this exact thing till i realized after watching this video agan.

Thanks for this video. The ridiculous padding this game added near the end was enough to test my jrpg grinding mettle. Fantastic story though.
