    Ohm's Law states:

    I is the current in amperes (A).
    V is the voltage in volts (V) provided by the source.
    Z is the impedance in ohms (

    If the load is purely resistive, the impedance (
    Z) is equal to the resistance (

    So, to calculate the current delivered by the source, you need to know both the voltage of the source and the impedance or resistance of the load.
    If you have these values, simply plug them into the equation to find the current. If you're dealing with an AC circuit where impedance includes both resistance and reac.
