There’s no way the engine stays cool in summer but if it stays any cooler that would be even more awesome . Some double nhx s work good for me so far . Still , there hasn’t been much leaves or junk sitting on a rocket fan . I wish the rockets would come with a cover but the design is pretty good
I really like the look and style of this truck. I am a newbie and am just learning the "how to" aspects of jumping and landing properly, eventually flips and backflips. I think this truck is in the top 3 of vehicles on my next purchase list. Keep up the great video's MSM, Canada is watching...lol
Yea that’s a badass looking rig. I got the older Arrma notorious version earlier this year with the black body. Only $550 at my local hobbytown. The motor didn’t come with a heat sink or cooling fan on my model, and believe me, it needed them. After a few runs in the grass, realizing how hot the motor was getting, I got a heat sink and cooling fan for mine. No more hot motor anymore and I love it, it’s a beast! Like my 4s outcast but on steroids! 😂 I see this new model includes a heat sink and cooling fan on the motor. Nice!
Just watch DO rc’s video on the new 6s kraton and man Arrma has really stepped it up. I’m glad someone stepped up to the plate to drive competition though. These prices were getting crazy for the same old stuff with a new coat of paint. Hopefully traxxas and losi will show us some love next. I want an e revo 3.0 that allows me to convert my retired 2.0 🥺
I have over 60 rcs. Last one I bought was an ultimate xmaxx. Have seen all the new stuff that's came out but nothing has caught my eye like this. I have a brand new notorious (never ran) that has the real steel body (when scratched silver shines thru). Again this has got my attention! Definitely buying it! Thx Mark!
Not sure how much is because of the new Firmware and how much is from the gearing, the older versions came with 14T from the factory and 16T was optional (included), at least this was on the EXB drivetrain trucks, so the new power/speed might be a combination of those two things, they all 6S share the same 65MPH top speed now.
I wanted a Notorious a while back when you couldn’t find them at hobby shops. I ordered one on HH and it never came, got the refund, tried a bunch of local hobby shops, still couldn’t find it. I “settled” for a Kraton EXB. $200 more expensive, but it obviously won’t break as much because of all those fancy aluminum parts. I try not to regret not getting a Notorious used on eBay or something, but I get a little jealous when I see how effortless it seems to do wheelies and backflips. Just thinking, I bet the value of the EXB Kraton will go way down now that this version with the EXB chassis plate and EXB shocks is out.
Once you drive a notorious on 6s, no other basher compares to it. Arrma have probably up'd the pinion for the faster speed. 12t was the stock on v5 and that's the sweet spot because as you say, you cannot drive flat out. I got 47mph on short grass with my v5. You don't need more than that.
should I get this notorious or the kraton? I am in the market for a new RC, just getting back into it. I am looking for a versatile, all-around truck. I have had a rustler, slash 4x4, and Vkar Bison, all were sold a few years back.
I watched another video of this truck where the body was also leaning even before using it, the didnt notice but you can clearly see it on the video which is weird almost looks like the body is crooked.

Seriously? You don’t like them? I think Arrma cars have some of the coolest looking rims on their cars. Well the good thing is, rims and tires could be an easy fix for you if you like the car but not the rims. Can always swap em out 🙌🏼
They really put that “Blast” saying on the bottom of the truck, etched in? This is why I don’t like ARRMA. Their style is a bit too NASCAR, a bit too…in your face.

They did a lot of updates to the ESC and it comes stock with a speed pinion. 60-65mph right out of the box.

My Kraton 6s EXB v2 is similar in having "too much power" when running on 6S. Wheelies are cool but having to limit throttle sucks!
