The last part really resonated with me when awkward said that the hard work is uncomfortable but it is the right thing to do that brings progress, i always fall back to playing lifeweaver when i am losing a match. And I still end up losing the match most times, i fall back to lifeweaver because he is easy, i don't have to make plays, i can just sit and heal and pull people. But i know that if i want to carry and stop feeling like im not good enough at overwatch that i have to switch to zen or ana and actually do damage and make plays.
If you do want to play lifeweaver, think of him as an enabler. You yourself might not be able to play as aggressive as a bap, but you can enable your team to make more aggressive plays. Don't be afraid to get in there and pull your rein/orisa etc into their team (when your team is ready for it), constantly throw petals to help your team move forward or up onto high ground (even if the high ground is just the petal itself), instead of throwing it behind them or keeping petals for yourself, put your trees slightly forwards instead of slightly back, so your team can play aggressive instead of defensive, things like that. Gl dude.
I feel like to Really Master Lifeweaver, you have to doo much much MORE to win... But what you can do really really well with him is stall the Cart/point with a Team

I would love to see this continued in a gold lobby. I have no doubt you will win every game, but I do think that you will be forced to do damage, and that you will be more quickly targeted when exposed.
Also, more lucio gameplay, please! Even the little bit here showed me something about how to effectively pressure with him.
I believe you could still do the same thing, but you might lose a game here and there since you have to carry a bit harder when people are semi competent.

I started playing OW2 when it came out never played OW1 but I stayed in Silver forever until I found your vids dude and now I'm rising up in Plat getting closer to Diamond.
It's all mentality and shrugging off that "my team is the reason why I lost".

Crazy it doesn't feel like the same game. I've played from bronze to Plat all roles. And this doesn't seem right people in silver I encounter for example the Mei he fought when he was ana. Kept missing and didn't use right click even up close. That's not common in my opinion
I've never played in silver where I can jump and move side to.side in front of the enemy and not get shot down

Awkward I hope you’re proud of me, and I hope you know your advice helped yet again. I’ve been in the gym at least 4 days a week almost every week since April, and after hurting my wrist yesterday and having two hours of homework today, I resigned to skipping my Monday. I watched this video straight through, and at the end, decided I should absolutely still go to the gym.
Here’s to back to back leg days, keep up the great content you absolute stud.
If you’re hurt there’s nothing wrong with taking a break you’re just gonna make it worse and hurting your body that’s not productive at all

@EJDoesEverythingBetter need to let your legs rest on the second day. Maybe do some cardio like a wall or biking instead for an active rest. Legs usually need a minimum of 1 to 2 days to recover fully if not 2 to 3.

The mei missing about 10 shots is somehow very normal but normally they would switch guns so that they get some damage
What i took from that video is that silver 5 people need longer to think. They did make plays on awkward, many did move forward and backward when they had or didn't had an advantage. But it usually takes them longer than the time to kill to get cover, and they don't know the map. So they always walk in very predictable places.
But i have to admit if i only watch awkward and don't play it looks like a bunch of headless chicken.
I love your videos and I do agree with what you say... BUT when you said "whats your excuse when I win without even shooting" (as lucio) yes but also parkouring around the map the way you were is definitly not a silver 5 level mechanic XD
I addressed this in the video. Learning how to wall-ride on a good level will take you about a week of custom games.
Learning how to hit shots like a Top 500 player will take you years.

I'm currently on the climb to get my reaper out of bronze 1. My friends keep telling, "Oh it's because you never swap" but I'm not letting go of your teaching. I know I am still in bronze because I am still playing like a bronze player but I am slowly climbing up with your advice on the unranked to gm thank you for everything :)

It’s amazing how easy it is to win games with techniques that are the basics of all traditional FPS games. Simply using cover properly and strafing a little practically puts you on a level with high plat/low diamond players.

Just watch an unranked to gm no healthpack hacks with the old sombra. It's a very similar playstyle. TP is for positioning, play like a dps character not like an invisible mosquito that's afk half the game instead of helping the team fight

I've been stuck in silver since i started playing about 3 months ago. I main support (kiriko) and wondered why I never actually got anywhere, despite having quite a bit of damage. It didnt click until you showed exactly how silly silver players can be. I held them in too high of a regard and never went to fully attack them, but it's actually very easy haha

Sometimes its the hardware problem...i was silver 2/3 this season also started playing this season. I was mainly playing on my 75hz ultrawide but I got stuck on said rank and bought a 165hz one and within a day I got from silver to Plat 4.....so yeah sometimes its hardware and thank u for the 76 video too awkward really helped me out Cheers!

I have absolutely adopted that quote. "If i lose its my fault." Everytime i lose i say its my fault. I apologize to my mates Everytime. And can point to why we lost. My play. Why? Positioning not good, no mid fight rotations, having tunnel vision on enemies, etc.....

Ppl say aim isn’t important, but I went from silver to Plat within a week just by messing with my settings and from plat to Dia 1 the week after just by learning what to and what not to do in plat. So in two weeks I went from silver to Diamond just by fixing my aim. My decision making is holding me back now and my game awareness needs to improve more.

My friend and i are new to OW2, but not to higher ranked play(Apex Legends/CsGo) We are currently in silver 4 and 1. To us it feels more like we are being queued into gold+ lobbys most of the time. We do get the occasional Bronze/silver games like in this video. But Idk exactly how the ranked matchmaking works in OW2
And the dva actually has gold guns. Incredible.
