You have created a style of ‘faff’ and ‘ego-free’ videos that I really enjoy… it encapsulates how I would like all my rides to make me feel during and after… great footage and editing… and a rok strap secured under the chin and over the baseball cap would have possibly helped to alleviate concerns regarding its sudden departure!! @@ClassicRides I don't think so. Tried many times/things. I think with the things I enjoy I am simply not compatible with almost all riders. I am living in Germany and I am 36 years old, that is young for bikers here since the average biker is 55+ years old. I am also riding not racing. Therefore I own a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and I enjoy cursing. Almost all the riders I have encountered over the years go as fast as they can. Even the biker club in this town (mostly people aged 50-60 years riding GS 1250) are going faster than the speed limit and to be honest I can't keep up with my 650 compared to their GS 1250 even when I tried. But thanks for the reply :)
@@-waz-773 you are describing the same biking culture that we have here in the UK, mostly older gents that ride far faster than I could ever manage. But personally I like riding alone, it’s one of the great things about motorcycles is that’s essentially a solo activity 🙂

Sure, I can ride from A to B and back to A but for me it was always more fun when I had people/bikers to share the experience with. But maybe you are right and I should try to ride more often even when it's just alone and in a close region.

Another beautiful video. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I love the new helmet, but it's brave trying something new. I've been wearing Shoei for years and lusting after a particular Arai. I bought it and loved it until I wore it for 3+ hours and it was painful. I went back to my Shoei and remembered how comfy and quiet it is; night and day. I've now ordered another new Shoei. I can't imagine how worrying it must have been to order a Hedon and just have to hope it lives up to its name! Thanks again Matt.
Well already own a Hedon (my silver open face) so I wasn’t worried too much. I went through so many different helmet brands just after I got my licence so I understand that brand loyalty, I’ll probably also stick to the helmets that I know fit me well now 🙂
I think it’s be great for all year, the only thing is you can’t close the vents so if it rains you might get a little wet inside, maybe. No doubt I’ll find out for sure soon.
Well, that’s a nice way to start my week. Great video Matt and the helmet looks great. I have an open faced Hedon and it’s just quality, could get away without wearing earplugs whilst wearing it, I’m guessing the full faced is the same? 👌

Hey Evee, glad you liked the video. Often it’s distance travelled that determines what helmet I wear, I won’t wear the open face if I’m going to be on a motorway. The new helmet is just because I wanted something that looks a bit cooler than my Arai but still a full face. I’ll still use the Arai as it’s probably the best all-rounder helmet I have, but it’s more of a tourer helmet 🙂
I've found I prefer not stressing every time I see a police car 😁. The Hedon is great, my Hedonist open face is surprisingly quiet and the Racer is no different, it's very good. I'd go as far as to say to it a lot quieter than my Arai. Big thumbs up from me 👍🏻

It’s a great to be honest, it’s quiet, light and very comfortable. They are a bit expensive but I don’t think there’s much else out there that looks and performs as well. I’ll be getting another one once this one is past it’s best 👌
