yall will blame fans but never the idols or even the companies themselves, it's funny. i saw somewhere that txt soobin apparently said he won't show his friends just because he worries about what the fans will think. these stupid idols can't do anything for themselves. kpop stans complain when people say this but idols truly are slaves to their companies with the way they willingly act. 20+ year olds don't interact with other idols without crying over the thought of 14-16 year olds getting triggered. they chose to become celebrities to cheat their way out of working real jobs and this is the price they pay. what's there to feel bad about? companies don't even tell their idols to not interact with people, that's a myth. open your eyes and you will see how much these idols play victim

I feel bad for these idols and how they can't even be themselves it's wierd.
I mean, for the lesbians and bisexuals in the industry it's probably not so bad for them. They can be themselves, and they can be with who they want, they've just gotta keep it to themselves. I'd assume and guess the numbers are around 65% being straight, or half of those straights being bicurious at the least, especially being around other girls who may or may not be more than bicurious, the other 10% being bisexual (or pansexual maybe), and then finally gay being the lowest % but also the most likely to stay quiet about their sexuality.

It's mostly so they focused on the team and promo for the groups stuff, but also so no scandals pop up unwantedly by the company. Itzy Yuna already slipped a few months back while on a radio show and basically said, of course in Korean, "I think I know of a few (note she didn't say I know a few) people (note she also didn't say girl or guy) who have those relationships. It isn't easy for some, but for most they can keep it to themselves and nobody would know. It does happen though." She was alluding to the fact that some girl groups and boy groups members do date others either within their groups or within the industry. She's an insider so she'd know a bit more as to who's dating who or not.

It baffles me that people get upset about idols dating. If you care about these idols, don't you want them to be happy? Everything they do for their fans and you don't want them to be with someone who makes them happy? That just makes no sense to me.
It's true. They've either gotta be gay, lesbian, or bisexual but not dating anyone of the opposite sex. Oh, and they have to be single even if they're straight because that wouldn't be cool if their fave is somehow 'tainted' by them being with a person they care about and who cares about them. The thing about Heechul and Momo's breakup is that I knew it would happen and told a good friend of mine who is more into it than me, specifically is a ONCE, whereas I'm more or less of a RV fan now, and we both realized they were seeming to be very different people and living very different lives. We both called it, saying they were going to breakup soon, and walla they did, but the first thing we did was NOT go on socials and post about them.
1 because we don't care that much, and 2 and more important, we wanted them to have their space to be able to grieve their own without any needless outside naysaying. WHich many had plenty to say about them and them, saying they knew they wouldn't work and saying that they really didn't make sense. Even one idiot on Twitter who kept arguing that it was because she was too busy focusing on her life instead of her man. Like her man is the only thing she's supposed to be worried about. No, she's got a career to focus on too buddy.
Personally, I don't buy into the whole "momo and Heechul were just the coverup for NaMO's secret affairs", I think that's just ridiculous. However, Heechul did slip once and say that he knew she sometimes would cancel last minute when they would meet up for dinner or late lunch because she was so busy and then wanted to go straight home to eat with Nayeon and then sleep. I suppose stranger things happened in the past between two people in the same team, however, I don't think that was the case with that breakup.
Last thing here, someone also brought up a good point, saying just because two are roommates and are very close, that DOESN'T necessarily mean that they have to SMASH to be a real ship. A real ship is anything that is between two people, guy or girl, and it doesn't have to be romantic ship it can just be platonic shipping.
Unless it's Sua and Siyeon from Dreamcatcher then I could understand the reasoning for the ship to being called a gay ship because they do very gay stuff together.

I'm actually appalled that shit like this happens. I'm sure there are certain rules for this kind of thing but honestly this blew up way more than it needed to.
Like, I get it, people find out their idol has a crush/is dating and it blows up. Typical thing in celebrity circles, but the way they phrase it makes it seem so negative, idols are people, sometimes they'll have crushes, fall in love, become best friends, etc.
I'm sure this is me looking at it from a western point of view but that's my two cents.
