While making this video, I realized what this game is lacking compared to Super Mario and Sonic. There are no powerups in Crossy Road Castle. There's certainly the potential to add special effects to characters. As mentioned in the video, the Mad Wizard should be able to shoot lightning bolts at nearby enemies. Just press down on the controller - ZAP! That would be fun. But also, a similar effect could be added to the Dragon. Press down and the dragon breaths fire! Since the Mad Wizard and the Dragon are so difficult to unlock, and they're at the end of a four year journey, those characters should have an extra boost. Also, I think there should be additional sound effect settings, so that cooperative play isn't so annoying. The Clown, the Schoolgirl, the Paleontologist - whew! Such sound effects should be settable to limited or muted. Another sound effect could be less gassy. The fart sounds are funny, but not all the time. There is a real challenge to this game, so advanced gamers could enjoy it, but making it less goofy should be an option. The Dragon is actually really good with sound effects, not annoying, but sounds powerful. Nice! 🙂

I liked how each update was building towards this tower. When I first started playing Crossy Road, unlocking the characters didn't seem to have a point. But apparently, all those little challenges were building towards this moment. It was nice, but a little sad that it's over.
@@tymiankowo Not too long ago, the game asked for permission for analytics. I'm not sure why Hipster Whale would need that data unless they had future plans for the game. So, I don't know what they're planning, but there are other Apple Arcade games have gone beyond the subscription service. Three years is usually the big number, so maybe Apple renewed exclusivity for an additional year. But with the low player numbers, there's little reason to keep the game an Apple Arcade exclusive.
The subscription ended today. I could easily renew the subscription, but it doesn't seem like a good idea. TRANSFORMERS: Tactical Arena is gone and Crossy Road Castle seems complete. Those were my two favorite Apple Arcade games. Many of the other games are “plus” versions of apps that have been around for years. A lot of the good games on Apple Arcade are also available on Nintendo Switch… like Skate City and Mini Motorways. So, I'm not sure what's next for the channel, but I've been considering the possibility of more retro gaming videos and holding out until the so-called Nintendo Switch 2 arrives. I've also been considering the possibility of building an online arcade at Photics.
Those two achievements are still hidden on my account. Although, I don't think I got to level 50 and beyond, so maybe they're the same as the other towers… reach level 50 and reach level 100. 🤷🏻♂️
The game could easily be updated, but this new tower feels more like a finale. Even if Hipster Whale did launch a new tower, it's going largely unnoticed. The “Mystery Solved” achievement was earned by less than 0.1% of players.
