It’s been more than awhile…and we are at very different points in our lives, e.g. caffeine is against my true religion now; but I used to drink eight different brands plus mountain 🏔️ dew with a piece of cheese. From my years on the Hill, I didn’t really like the work style which was just how you described your experience 50 years ago. I didn’t begin to tolerate it well until I work at the Library of Congress which I transferred to after the committee on post office and civil service. Let me refer you to Anthony Trollope’s masterpiece, “The Way We Live Now”. The point is, for me, Capital Hill was a great stepping stone in my career in library science; but is was not my most comfortable and productive workplace format. The social life can be interesting and intriguing if you don’t restrict yourself to any particular patterns or environments. I’m enjoying watching you on the Hill 50 years later. Find your peace and find your place. You have a lot to offer. JC
Legacy was such a good read! I started it off slow and next thing I knew I was on chapter 15. Literally loveee Before I Let Go, the sequel is pretty good so far too!
