Finally a car reviewer who's NOT a totally idiot. Reviewing a car for what it is. I'm tired of stupid car journalists complaining cars can't hold a 1litre bottle in the pockets; or comparing the 720s to a 718; or reviewing every bloody car reminding me its infotainment isn't as good as BMW's ... Great job! You surely should have more viewers... 😉
I’ve had my Up gti for nearly a month now and it’s simply a joy to drive . Cheap to buy and run ( compared to say a golf gti) yet absolutely brilliant fun to drive . How can something with 3 cylinders and 1,000 cc be such fun ? Great car for the real world and people who live in the real world.
Damn right, had mine for nearly a year and it's an absolute joy to drive, looks sweet and was a downright bargain. I don't like too much distracting tech and this is just the ticket :).
Hate the people that say this isn't a true GTI. As it's not just about speed, admittedly it is the slowest GTI but them 3 letters mean more than just speed, can't wait to see how they evolve the UP! GTI over the decades. Like they've done with the Polo & Golf. If you want speed get one of them.
Very good and funny video! It's often the more basic and smaller models that are the most fun! Used to have the Smart Roadster Brabus and even with its flaws, it was so much fun!!! Keep up the great videos!
2:16 Uhm, you know that the problem with drum brakes isn‘t the breaking force? The force, drum breaks do deliver, is higher than disk break force. Main problem with the drum break is the bad heat dissipationand the complicated procedure of changing the drum it self, compared to replacing a disk.
Very funny and honest review, thanks for that. It just have 2 needless things - too big rims and too much doors, otherwise it would be perfect gti. Subscribed to channel.
No, Paul is from Romania. Do you have a problem with that? I am a bit suspicious about why you asked that question. Yes, the car has Swedish plates and it is obvious that Paul may not come from Sweden. But so what? It is a great review and I agree with his comments.
I'm sorry but I'd feel like a tool without rear disc brakes, drums are just so archaic and horrible to look at. I get the point of this car but frankly it needs 0-60mph times beginning with a 7 not an 8. Needs about 50% more power than VW gave it. 160-170bhp be perfect
I get what you're saying but I think VW's Marketing Department wouldn't have wanted an up! GTI with 170hp because it would be too close performance wise to the Polo GTI. Plus that would have made this car more expensive that it already is.
170hp would be to dangerous for non-pro drivers. It's already got loads of torque!! Real Gti lovers also know that the mark 1 2 and 3 Golf 8valve Gti engines all had about 115hp!

True, would rather drive a fun slow car on its limits than a fast car slow
Perfect! You nailed it. This is the true essence of this car 🚗
You have a great personality. Warm presentation. Good car. Just Subscriped. More of this please.
Your views align with mine. Small, basic, affordable and FUN! Well done VW.
Ive just ordered mine, coming in 2 months and I can’t wait, this video gets me even more excited for it to arrive!!!
It's going to be a great car! Enjoy it!
What? 2 months? I got to wait like 4 to 5 to get mine 😂

Best review of this car I've seen!
Great video mate and love your style of presentation. Keep it up. Subscribed
Absolutely agree. Thoroughly brilliant little car. Had mine just over two months. Well done Vw!

I love that 3 cylinder sound
It's a peach.
Bought one recently. 3 door Tornado Red on a 19 plate. What a fun little car this is. My first petrol car in nearly 15 years too.
Lupo GTI was the true successor, this carries on from where that left off imo
Great video 👍😉
It is a real fun car to drive!
You just earned yourself a sub, well done! 👌❤️
Great video!
I like your thesis about being the true successor to the Golf Mk1 GTi - it's a superb looking little car, great review!
You're great dude. Keep it up. Nice review.
Drum Brakes on the rear, just like the original 1976 Mk1 Gti, so the Up remains true to its heritage.
Its 2022 mate drum, brakes are just not as good .. FACTS
@@dont5363you don’t need disks on a car that weights 1ton and has 115 hp
More manufacturers should look at the less is more approach.
Awesome video, bro!
Frumoase review-uri Mihai 👌
Paul :) Multumesc dar hai sa pastram comentariile in romana aici: ruclips.net/user/masinisijurnale
good video 👍🏻
God I wish we got these in the US. They just seem so cool and affordable!
Love your style

lo habrá aqui en colombia??? no he visto el primero
I drive a Peugeot 107.... but I would like a Up! GTI 🤩🤩
There’s only One that’s 205 gti 1,9 looks great and rolls even better !
Salut si un video de exceptie. Pacat ca nu se comercializeaza Up GTI in RO.
Nu știam că altfel nu facem clip și in română :))
The volkswagen up gti does it have an automatic transmission?
As far as I know, no. It's only available with a manual
@@TunedIntoCars so is there an automatic transmission for VW Up?
@Mark Kevin Apalisok the regular up has an automated manual. But i've just read that apparently the up gti 2020 is rumoured to have a 7 speed DSG soon
Matt, any chance of an Up GTI review?
Sorry, Matt's not here, but this is a review of an up! GTI :)
Torn between this and the Kia Picanto 1.0 turbo GT S line
Man took that opinion straight from James May.
Changed the Gray shoes with red ones
I don’t know why vw made the emblems on this car so huge. It’s looks strange to me, especially on the wheels.
The weight increased by 10% 😂😂😂😂
i'm gonna track my UP gti , but anyway good vidéo xD
I would track it too!
Why everyone forgets that it's a successor of lupo gti, not golf
Very funny and honest review, thanks for that. It just have 2 needless things - too big rims and too much doors, otherwise it would be perfect gti. Subscribed to channel.
I agree with both points. However, in Sweden we only get the 5 door version. Unfortunatelly
We don't get the Up GTI model .... we got the Mk1 Golf GTI
Hyundai should make an i10N to rival the up gti
coming summer 2022
Are you from sweden??
I live in Sweden, yes

No soundproofing under the bonnet!
Very few cars have that nowadays actually
Lol sure the best besides a real GTI :P
What do you mean the 0-100kph time isn't relevant for such a car? it's a GTI!! it's one of the few things that is relevant about the car.
I think fun factor and handling are more relevant. GTI's have never had impressive acceleration times. They're FWD cars at the end of the day.
Thanks man, thats an amazing review, you centered the points of this product, i thing that i will buy it soon, amazing fun car.
Up driver : what's up?
Swift driver : can't here u bud
Golf R? Up!? Golf R?……hmm... let me think
OK video spoilt by all the background music, drive me nuts.
Nice ,but too slow and underpowered, needs a stage 1 remap ,and ram air induction kit.👍
Didn't Adolf have one? 😂
No, he had a Swift Sport.

You will be able to tune this to 140-150hp quite easily
The point of this car seems to completely escape you
