Even knowing a lot about AC's story, this was still so touching. I appreciated her time in DC but love the full circle of returning to the franchise that drafted her, in the city of her childhood.
This was timely. An incredible journey wherein you find yourself on top of the mountain. Bree Beal, I hope you are paying attention. This is how it's done. Major Big Ups Alysha Clarke
Talking about full circle!… she is now with the the franchise that cut her twice and was a key factor in us winnings the championship! Especially with that last play! Soooo happy for her.
Also the fact that Becky Hammon was still playing when she got drafted/cut. Becky was right there in the training camp videos, now she's her coach. Also Sandy Brondello was an assistant coach back then, now coaching the NY Liberty who they just beat! What a full circle journey! Incredible!
Soo much heart, soo much passion. To think the world could have missed this, an athlete who is soo very relatable. When she cries, it hits me in the heart because it feels real. Thank for telling her story, this team is soo special.
AC, you know I have loved watching you play since your freshman year at Belmont. I will support you always ❤️. Keep soaring and Ballin out. Love and hugs ❤️
Wow this is so well done. Worthy storytelling of the incredible journey of such a special human. That background music, whew! And the full circle feeling of it all. I wasn’t familiar with AC prior to this season, but she has very quickly become my favorite. She is an amazing athlete for sure, but my god, you can just feel in your soul what a beautiful, genuine, extraordinary human being she is. So much heart, so much passion. And the constant support she showers upon her teammates. Oh I just love this woman so much. I prayed the Aces would win the championship this year especially for her ❤
i’m not an emotional person but this is a tear jerker. as someone who actually walked the walk of building this league + women’s basketball up to a semblance of respect + community on social media, i watched alysha’s journey from afar every step of the way + was very unhappy with dan hughes for years bc he cut her. twice. then you tell this story + the thing ive been made fun of for most in my adult life: being obsessive over women’s basketball, is further engrained into my existence bc you tell her story + i relate to every step of it down to having to collect myself when her sister mentions the “good better best” poem bc i still can see that picture in crispys attucks elementary school that sat beside a poster that had a puppy in a broken flower pot that says “they only remember the bad things i do.” thank you for sharing these. i gotta go back + see who else there is. this is what coverage looks like. i’m tired of hearing about people’s injuries or hardships third person. if they speak on it so be it but people can speak for themselves. thank you for such great work!
Promise you all couldn't have finished with a better player. So happy for her fr. I just can't comprehend that such a player couldn't make it her first 2 seasons but I hear it. LOOK AT HER NOW

I love the full circle story. The league definitely dropped the ball in the storytelling. What a story this would've made on ABC/ESPN.
@@halecgriff YES!!! Would have made one great story. Not to mention they're entertaining off the court as well. They're all hilarious. lol
