You have to wonder how are these magic lassos are made. Donna Troy has the Lasso of Persuasion, Wonder Girl (Cassie) has the Lasso of Lighting, Artemis has the Golden Promise (Lasso of Submission), and Yara Flor has the Bolas of Truth.
What I love about this Wonder Woman series by Tom King is that he is adding things to the WW mythos. The new lassos, a new villain, and most of all, Trinity, Diana's future daughter. Can't wait to find out more about the direction of this ongoing. Also, Daniel Sampere's art on the book is such a beauty.
If you reread the issue carefully it actually turns out that apparently WW orgin has been changed back to her being made from Clay, since the Narrator says the child of Zeus story has a hint of truth but has a Lie at the center of it, an that Diana was not Born of Man or Woman. It an easy quick and you miss it in pages 11 & 12 I'm kind of interested in them bringing back Diana's original creation
I tell you blerd the government's hostility toward the Amazons in their midst isn't all that surprising, sadly. As you say, it's reflected by RL events. What I didn't know and what king could do more to flesh out is why so many Amazons are in America to be expelled now? Previous portrayals of Amazons had them mostly living in Themyscira I thought, with a few exceptions like say Diana or Artemis. But in King's series we now have quite a few of them leaving their paradisical island to live in Man's World. That should be explored further, I think.
Perhaps the silver lasso is Donna Troy's lasso of Persuasion?? When that lasso premiered in 2009/2010...it was silver in color and glowed BLUE when in use? I think this is possible, considering its in the future. If Trinity has Diana's lasso...why wouldn't she also have her Aunt Donna's lasso? Just a thought.
I'm also thinking Trinity's birth will be via magical means. Also Im thinking the battle with Emilie could be what the Sovereign wants us to think happened. I was also think the third lasso will be introduced during the Amazon Attacks storyline. The prophecy Anahi speaks in issue, could be about the lassoes and not actual people.
Honestly i think the last lasso is gonna be something like the lasso of justice or something. I feel WW lasso already makes folks speak secrets if I'm looking at possibilities.. Also gotta say I always laugh in comics when folks pull up with armies that can take out a country or so😅. I'm like Annnd.. Whether it's marvel or DC I always seem to laugh 😅
I think DC is taking a beat from the Master Pandemonium scenario with the children of Vision and Scarlet Witch. The twins were created from "shards" (because Comics . . . ) of Pandemonium's soul . . . Maybe that's the "process" that was used to create her. I can imagine a story whereby Zeus pulls a portion of Bruce, Clark, and Diana's souls to create Trinity. Maybe all 3 of them instantly age several years as a result. Perhaps Trinity was "born" as a fully formed young adult, and never had a real childhood . . . Either way, I like where this is going!

The lasso of lies looks like it will be a good foible to the lasso of truth and I want to see where they go with Diana's daughter trinity after this run.

I'm digging the black lasso of lies and wonder how it's tied to the United States' overreaction. I also like how the Amazon who started the conflict is named Emelie, "lie" is right there in her name and it rhymes with enemy.

Wonder Woman is my 2nd favorite DC hero &my 4th favorite hero all-time but I'm over WW getting these shit comic runs. I liked Azzarello's run more than most cuz I love mythology but didn't love how it ended. But I knew after reading WW #800 this series probably wasn't going 2B for me. I hated Trinity 3 pages after meeting her &what King is setting up isn't believable to me. WW, Superman &the Justice League aren't going to let it ever get that bad for Amazons. This would work much better as a Black Label series, but this is supposedly in continuity Wonder Woman &that's just not working

WW is the daughter of Zeus. If not then that whole Baby Darkseid absorbing Gods story arc was moot.
