@@albertc.8820 Sorry. Not sure I understand your question. You need your CDL and between 6-12 months experience. DOT physical you’ll do once you come to Crete, if you come to Crete. Was that your question?

The middle of PA is turning into one big industrial park. So much for Amishland middle of PA. The problem with these ginormous warehouses is they don't need that many people to operate and the builders and logistics companies all swear they're bringing jobs to the public. Compared to the amount of truck traffic and land used? It's not always a good tradeoff. But, this is the world we live in. Mail order and Amazon Prime. Everything can be ordered from your phone and delivered to the customer. Even 90% of the trucking industry is from suppliers to ginormous warehouses. Good luck folks. 62 years old and 38 years driving. I've had some health problems in the last few years. I'll just ride along with you guys. Save me some chocolate! Safe travels and God bless

Spoke with a recruiter from a truck driving school about a couple of weeks ago and got a tour of the campus. It was a small step,but a step in the right direction.

Glad you enjoyed your delivery to ODW RIC-1. You are right it is a brand new warehouse for us that had a lot of challenges getting started up. Glad you guys stopped by after we got the dirvers lounge up and running. For the first couple of weeks, the drivers lounge and chekck in office was not cleared for occupation by the city of Columbus. So we had to set up a make shift check in office inside the warehouse, and unfortunatley have porta potties for the drivers.
If you run another Suave load from either Raeford or Jeff City in the future, things will look at little diffrent. The warehouse realized they should probably get a larger stencil to number the spots. So all spots are now clearly numbered. We also now have seprate check in's for receiving and shipping. The receiving check in is on the side of the building you dropped. Also you should have a much easier time finding an empty trailer. Fence to secure the yard is next on the list and possibly a guard shack at the grass divider you pointed out. That weird text at the end is from FourKites and I am not sure why you got it as the load should have already been marked delivered. Something for us to look into.

Hey, Kevin. Spray some rainx on the windshields, it works wonderfully. Clean, spray, let it dry, and buff off with a paper towel. The rain and snow just sling off when driving. BTW, be safe.

Tonya, you handled that well! Kev, your trucking gig seems pretty chill compared to all the horror stories that are reported out there in the greater USoA. Is there really alot more disturbing traffic situations and "oh no's". And "what now". And " Are you going to move so I can finish making this turn or are you going to sit there and be an a%%hole?" Kind of situations? I know most of your routes are spent on interstate hwy so that has to provide some sanity. And I know the weather is also a factor. Crete needs to wise up and provide air-ride trailers for their drivers. Trust me… it makes all the difference.
They are starting to buy Great Dane air ride trailers.
When your dropping a loaded truck, are you opening the back doors of trailer before you back up or does the facility handle that
what are you guys getting mpg wise? i have 2024 t680 and im averaging around 7.5-8 running around 35k lb. loads.
Yeah….it goes up and down between 7-10mpg depending on load and terrain.
