    do we need to add bridge in middle for this kind of tapping or just 2 backer rods with bumpers are enough?

    do i really need to follow “the standard way” like you said or i can do what ever i like ? i really like the idea of both ear fall inward a little bit, but not too much so they cross over and make an X symbol, and the tip of the ear i want it curl a bit to make it kinda fancy, some people already told me that i need to keep the tip straight because that how everyone have done it, i have a European 1 btw, this decision drive me nut man

    My Doberman is constantly popping, one backer rod out of the ear canal. I can’t figure out how to keep him from knocking it out. He has a very nice crop and I don’t want it to go in vain. Please help!

      Did you figure how to keep the post in ???

    • @Acolis
      @Acolis 9 месяцев назад

      yes, i did. i am using backer rod and i figured out that my issue was leaving too much backer rod out of the end so it was not firm enough and would pop out. im leaving around 3/8" out of the end and wrapping a thin piece of gauze pad around it with athletic tape and posting as usual and making sure the tape starts low enough that it slightly covers the ear opening where the post is exposed. @@robertybarra3527

    If my dobie is 6 months, do you think I can still fix the ear pockets with this method ??

      Yes absolutely! 6 months is still a fairly young age. I would definitely recommend you get back to posting using the recommend tips in the video. You have to be consistent and ensure you have minimal downtime between removing and changing the ear posts. I have seen and helped other dobermans that are around 1yr mark so you are still good to post.

    How long are you posting her for? It seems she is old enough to not have posting anymore as she doesn't have a show crop

      Eevee has been completely done with posting for a while. She is just volunteering for me so I can make the video :)

    Any one knows how to rectify the opposite of this video? a folding ear?

    This is silly! I’ve been posting ears for 35 years. If you use the proper size backer rod from the beginning this will never be an issue. Them little bitty ass posts look like pencils. Also…if you post properly you don’t need a bridge!!
