Its actually quite insane how Oden won literally everyone he ever met over, even the People of Wano who fought badly of him and Yamato, meanwhile Kanjuro was closer to Oden than most and he didnt see the light at all.
Y'know, seeing how they both share the kabuki actor theme, I always did wonder how well Kanjurou would get along with Kumadori from CP9? I think they'd make for an amusing act on the stage, personally! 😆
Challenge was meant as duel challenge, not petty talk back. Kaido wasn't trying to raise no prim and proper woman nor a noble man, He only wants to surround himself with strength. Kaido won't turn down violence or fighting, but he's not gonna randomly vent anger on weaklings that won't produce even a satisfying thunk when he hits them so even though Yamato was durable af through their life it wouldn't be enough to survive random outbursts of anger. I think Yamato was more like an angry cat, waiting for their moment behind a door or some shit then pouncing to try to get the jump on their owner only to get kicked out the window with the thought "Tsk tsk... not again, didn't you learn from last time you dumbass?"
Oda did say that size doesnt matter much its more about the context when they drawn. Like how kaido is sometimes big then small. Toei was a bit interesting in the way they drew some characters tho I agree.

That's one of a few things I really didn't like about this arc that I otherwise find amazing. After this point, it almost feels like Oda _wanted_ to make Kiku look bad? I really don't get it.
I saw a comment few episode ago and theres good explanation about its the translator who decided to put he/him pronoun everytime one piece characters calls Yamato because in Japanese they usually use neutral pronoun
@@nabilahmdha Kaidou calls him son, there is no ambiguity there. Also Luffy's nickname for him is Yama-o which is Yama-bro or Yama-Guy. Which is the same nickname he's used for Law.
@@ScottT939 Vivre cards have gone though multiple corrections in the past. There is also no proof they are written by Oda. I personally take what's on the manga pages at proof. Which you can look at the end of the arc for the direct proof of Yamato's gender. Also your theory is wrong because we know the previous 3 generations of Kuja leaders, so one previous to those 3 would be far too old.

I find it very weird you guys keep calling Yamamoto she/her while the anime had it as he/him. Even Kaido calls him his son.
Her name is Yamato, and she is a woman. She is not actually Oden.
Therefore, it is correct to call her she/her. I'm glad I could help.
