I appreciate that you explain clearly at a calm pace. Other tech videos are narrated so quickly that I find it difficult to understand and it's stressful. You have a great voice for narration! Please make more iPhone/Mac videos, thank you.
The problem is even though I pick the people who I want alerts and text from on favorites. I still get texts alerts sounds from people who I didn’t pick. How do I fix that on my iPhone 16 on work focus and sleep mode
Have you tried manually turning sleep focus on and off instead of relying on the automatic timing? Try turning off sleep mode when you have to feed your dog and turn it back on once you're back. I've never tried it before so let me know if that works!
Hey my friend. If I have focus mode on and those who are silenced from notifications, will I ever know if they tried texting/calling me??? Is there some archive that I can see who called or text if they're silenced??? Thanks man if u can reply
Great video, but I have a point of confusion. You select the people that you want to allow notifications from, but then you also allow calls from your favorites. So whose calls get through? Your favorites or the people that you selected? I am trying to only allow calls from Contacts but I get calls from people outside of my contacts. I'm not sure what to do.
Hello, great video. Not sure if I missed some info from your video concerning a sleep mode in order to silence all people and all apps with no exceptions. The problem is that previously before going to bed I would just choose a sleep mode on my Apple Watch, and this would disable all my Apple gadgets. I would not receive any phone calls or messages until I disable this function in the morning. Last 2 weeks I am getting calls and messages in the middle of the night ( from all my Apple devices ) even my sleep focus is enabled. Not sure what’s going on. Maybe you can give some advice
No there are no people or apps enabled in any focus mode. Under “allow notifications “ it says none allowed. Do not disturb and the others not working either.
HI, I came to this video because I set up my sleep focus pretty much like you but it is ON all the time, on watch and phone. Isn't it supposed to turn on at wind down time and turn off with your alarm in the morning? Why is it always ON? Appreciate anything you can help me with. I have a Apple Watch series 9, iPhone 12 mini and running iOS 17 if that matters
I would love the ability to make two sleep focus schedules! Work nights and I get up to feed my dog and go back to sleep, can never get it to track after taking the dog out which is another 4 hours of sleep 😢

It is a really messed up process to adjust a lot of screens though. Even if you uncheck the screens they will get mixed up when you try to add widgets to next screen which consequently messes up your other focus mode home screens. Apple should just let us create a screen for the focus modes in the settings. There is no need for check-uncheck process.
Yeah, I think there could be easier ways to set up focus modes. But isn’t the current method a lot easier when you want to edit your focus mode screens?
The problem with sleep focus with set times is it messes up the sleep tracking if you don’t go to sleep right then. It thinks you’re sleeping when you’re not. If your sleep schedule is a bit more flexible, I have found that it’s better to just turn it on via the Apple Watch just as I go to sleep.
@@kyrilson71 I don't think that's right - if you go to Sleep in the Health app, does it show your sleep time starting at the same time as your sleep schedule? My sleep schedule is the same every day but my sleep data varies.
@@ShivsStudio it used to show it starting at the time my sleep was scheduled to start even if I went to sleep later. Maybe they fixed it. I’ll try it again and see if it’s still doing it!

Gracias a Dios por medio de la semana del lunes que te escribo que oo que se ha mostrado que ofrece su momento a dicha 🎉🎉😂😂
I have been using it for years but have to say, calming voice, to the point and informational. Well done.
Glad you liked my style, thanks!
Fantastic tutorial.
There are very few tutorials that explain things as clearly and with detailed info. Nice pacing as well, btw.

Have you allowed notifications from certain apps when your work focus mode is on?
@ I did and it worked and for people who I want to hear text and call from
Such a great work , Why don’t you post more iPhone tips and tricks , Software updates, it might be helpful for many users ❤
Thank you! I'll be exploring a lot of ideas very soon.
Hey odd question , i worked on shifts schedule. Is there a way to have the watch auto track the sleep ? Or any workaround or tip ?

Fantastic video. Even when you think you know everything about a feature, there is plenty more to discover. What background are you using?!
Thank you! I wish I could remember where I got this background 😅

I think the notifications still come through to your control centre, you’re just not notified of them when your focus mode is on.
@@ShivsStudio ohh ok. Gotcha. Thank u
Great video, very informative, is it possible to change ringtone volume with respective focus modes?
Not specifically in Focus, but you can create an automation in the Shortcuts app that changes the volume when your Focus activates.

ShivsStudio, thank you for your response. I restarted my phone 4 times and it’ finally works
I have an iPad and I don’t have the sleep focus on it, how do I get the sleep focus?
You may have to set it up in your settings - have you done that?
@ShivsStudio no I don’t know how to

That’s right, it’s meant to turn on and off on a schedule. If you go to your Sleep focus in settings, is the schedule set up?
@@ShivsStudio Yes, it is. I don't understand what I am doing wrong! Thank you for replying.
@@christinajin5664 Try clicking Next Schedule and make sure the Schedule toggle is turned on.
I want to set up that my iPhone automatically switches on specific time from vibrate to silent. What is the easiest way to do this?
You may have to do this via the shortcuts app.
Do you have any tutorial?

When creating these focus modes does it block notifications
You can choose which apps, and therefore notifications, to allow/block when setting up your focus mode.

The Focus Modes are switching very Slow, so it Loads very Long to Switch from the one Mode to the other. Any idea what I did wrong?
Try updating to the latest iOS and restarting your phone.
@@ShivsStudio its my ipad and it has the latest iOS version (18.1.1)
Do you mean focus modes are slow switching across devices, or just on your iPad?
@only switching the focus modes. My iPad is new.
There shouldn't be any issues - how long is it taking to switch?
