Mine blue up in my face & in the trash it is going . I always had problems with it .I have the propane that works fine .
I started having issues, but the cleaning seems to have fixed it.

I know that the stove is duel fuel , but Colemen fuel will burn better and keep the generator clean . So use Colemen fuel only for emergencies use gas .
I had only used coleman fuel, but still got that blowout sometimes. I am hoping I won't have to take part the valve. But thanks for watching
Do not worry ,this stove is only 30,40 dollar. And you can easy clean the generator every 10 gallon gasoline. I even burn the kerosene still good.
When you chose your paint, did you look for a paint that resists fuel? I am thinking only something like automotive engine enamel would be suitable, because it is heat-resistant and fuel-resistant. Thanks.
I used the rustolem farm and equipment weather and rust resistant paint and used the krylon high heat for grills.
I have a 424 but my problem is I have a fuel leak coming from the valve would I need to replace the entire valve setup or is there another way to fix it
I think you will need to replace. Maybe the seal. Check old coleman parts. That website had parts I needed.
is there any advantage to having the little lever on the left of the generator vs the ones that are just an adjustment knob?
the alternative to white gas @ 22.00 a liter now where I live is the propane conversion for about 60.00 total.

Instructions for starting a Coleman® stove include "up to light, down to burn". When the lever is up, the fuel and air tube is sending a lean mixture to the fuel valve. The instructions then say to turn the lever down after one minute. This opens the fuel intake port on the fuel and air tube.
I have never seen a coleman stove that didn't have that small value for lighting
@@NCPiedmontOutdoors I have two with the lever and three without. They do exist and they all work!
