In the early game, it helps to use your pickaxe instead of your knife for harvesting bone. Bears can be kited, mostly, by using spears or bows and swimming backwards in deeper water. Skipping thatch and going straight for wood helps preserve points early on and building in a cave is viable if necessary…nice play through so far, I enjoy watching other people get wrecked like I do lol.
A great way to get water is not drink directly from Rivers/Streams. Just dip/swim in it and your suit will soak in water and hydrate you. This will prevent any chances of catching diareah. The other thing is watermelons. Best way till you have water skin or containers.
To say, I been playing a few day's and I'm already at level 34. Is an under statement. You have not forgotten much in the time you have been away from playing the game. I 've been looking at video's and players and they have played 30 days and at level 10. I'm doing a lot of research on the game because it looks like a game I may enjoy a lot. I have a few 100 open world games and yes it is my thing. A few friends already have this game and I want to learn as much as possible to give some type of match when playing as a team. Every one has different types of resources and all can be a help in playing this type of game. To be able to get a full path of enjoyment you almost need to be retired or still in school with a lot of time on your hands. About a 1000 hours is not a lot of time these day's. In most games a few million miles isn't a lot of time moving around and Earth is just a place in the Stars.
Theres a board you can unlock (can't remember the name of it) so you can send exotics and gear back up to the station. You can also craft items to send down to you.
Thanks for showing the basics and not starting off with your level 30 plus character. I haven't played in a long time and it was super helpful! Lighting rod right next to house though? Wouldn't that fire jump to the house? I guess we will find out next episode. lol
14:41 ??? Why is that boar registering as Level 72? Most games that have levels for NPCs, Monsters and creatures, usually on the same scales as the player level and is relevant to the actual difficulty of the enemy. You just killed a lvl 72 enemy as a level 1 character. That tells me that something is really off and not following the standard way of scaling enemy levels that every other game has established; thus this games level system feels misleading. 30:00 lvl 86 horse? Why in the heck is the level scaling so misleading in this game?
Honestly I have no idea. I just ignore the level of the mobs and look at the type. If it's a boar I might be able to take it down, if it's a bear I stay away until I get better gear. If the horse is a challenge then I just use a little more strategy. You can kill most things in game if you have the right skills and some trial and error under your belt.
I play mission to get gear to land on the new maps in open world, you don't unlock enough items in open world to gain anything significant, I was really hoping you were going to play missions :(
I have a few things unlocked already. I wanted to get a character to level 20 first. I like the challenge of not using Workshop items. I'll get to them eventually.
Only 4 episodes? oh yep you play a lots of different games, i never subsriobe to that kind of channels most of the time its really short series. good luck

This game really deserves the title survival game
Exotics can ONLY be returned to station now by using the Orbital Exchange Interface. Put them in your dropship and take off - you loose your exotics.
Theres a board you can unlock (can't remember the name of it) so you can send exotics and gear back up to the station. You can also craft items to send down to you.
Level cap is 60.
