I’ve been reading the comments and it was a bit annoying. Here’s my opinion. One, She didn’t say she was doing ‘What my rabbits eat!’ She did a cage tour. Two, If she out in the dedication to make this (AMAZING) cage why would she treat them wrongly? Three, You could’ve worded it in a kind way instead of making wrong assumptions. Four, Even if she did do something wrong, Word it something like this: ‘Hey I didn’t see hay in there, Where do you put the hay?’ Or ‘I didn’t see any hay, I just wanted to check if you still feed it to them since it’s important!’ Five, Can’t anybody just appreciate the amazing care she gives her pets?
Thank you :) I was pretty frustrated reading them (could you tell :P). But, in the last day a lot of people have also defended my pet care and shared my same shock over all those comments - I really appreciate that!
Adri Rachelle It’s no problem! It’s really just the truth, Your pet care is outstanding. I may not have as many pets as you, but I aim to have as great pet care you do! I have two sugar gliders currently, And have been doing research for a while. I actually found your channel through other pet channels, and even though you don’t make sugar glider videos often, I adore just seeing how well you treat you animals. Keep up the great work!
I think it's awesome that you care about your rabbits so much that u would spend this kinda time and money to give your rabbits a space that gives them plenty of space to run and hop, and play instead of throwing them in a tiny cage in the corner without run to even turn around. This is amazing
Incredible vision! I feel like I have so much to learn from you in order to provide the utmost glorious life for my Bunny. Please rescue more bunnies, they need more kind and generous souls like yourself. Thank you for heart and for sharing!
This would have been a dream come true for me and my bunnies that I used to have. What an amazing setup (especially the "hobbit" part)! I'm so glad to know there are wonderful people like you who are able to provide such loving care to these darling little bunnies!
Love it! Maybe you can add a litterbox inside the hutch! That will be a lot more colder bake on their feet and it will be easy to clean:) I use a horse stall bedding and it’s great for the garden
Bravo for being so caring to these little guys. I wish I had this kind of space! I have one baby rabbit and I am looking for ideas to expand his space and get him a girlfriend to bond with. A few suggestions: The white picket fence may be too sharp if the happen to fall on it. Have you thought of a few hidey boxes with two entrances/exits? Again, I love it.
There are several tunnels running under the treehouse with multiple doors. The picket fence is plastic and not sturdy or wedged into the ground. If one of them were to fall on it it would tip right over. Thank you for your concern and suggestions! Ben had a great time planning and building it....as he does with everything.
Ow how lovely! And always to see good bun parents ❤! I have 16, with tunnels, ramps , but not a visual beauty as this 😂…. 1 addition I can suggest, which mine love, is a sandbox🎉
Hey Adri! Being a bunny parent myself, this feels like an amusement park to me😂 beautifully and so thoughtfully made! Idk if you have any such plan but just a kind suggestion, please consider fostering. So many bunnies could enjoy this space before settling down to a forever home. All love for your adorable bunnies💕
Love it. Although I wouldn't keep my bunnies outside either, like someone else pointed out. And I would definitely change out the wire bottom. For my bunny he uses the bumbox and the bottom holes are rounded and soft, and closer together than in your video. Other than that, its amazing what you've done w their enclosure. 😊
I love your cage it’s so prettty and lots of space and soooo many fun things for them to do and a lot of people are just assuming that you don’t have hay if you know there proper care and know what they should eat I think you know that they need unlimited hay😂 and I watched the whole vid🐰
Thank you :) I got more defensive than I'd have like to in response to the hay comments - but it was so disappointing after spending this much time and money on my rabbits to be met with criticism over false assumptions. All the supportive comments remind me it's not worth responding to those types and I have a wonderful group of positive people here!
All looks amazing. With the waterer issue, try raising it off the floor just a little bit to where they cant get their paws and fur in it cause they just lay there for the water to soak up all their fur. Probably just a couple inches to a comfortable head level while on all 4 feet. I wouldn't worry about if it was to high to where they cant drink because they can always stand up. You can anchor it to a block of wood that is no bigger than the base of the waterer. This is what i did for my quail because they would always step in it or push shavings in it making it a soup and it worked perfect.
It’s cool I hope Do you have air and heat for them and I hope you’re spending quality time in there with them they need to bond with you also that water thing is very dirty you have got to clean that
They don’t require heat where we’re located but they do have shade, fans and frozen bottles as needed during the summer. This is a sanctuary built on the premise that rescue animals do not HAVE to be socialized. These rabbits were taken from breeders where they’d never been handled and human interaction stresses them out. A rabbit can life a wonderful, perfectly fulfilled life without having a human relationship. That bond is only for the humans/owners benefit. If they seem like they want some time with us I’m in the cage daily and ready and willing. But they prefer to play amongst themselves and I’m happy to just watch!
omg all my rabbits have is a picnic table and some tunnels im gonna have to steal some ideas from you !!! adorable set uo your bunnies must be so well loved !!
Loved it! But a couple things I would like to recommend, first I saw you were using water bottles, its more natural for them to drink from water bowls. and I recommend, since you are keeping them outside, to double the height of the plastic grids lining the enclosure and maybe even inserting some into the ground so nothing can dig into there.
You could bed the mesh with wood chips to make it a little easier on their feet , some of it will fall through obviously but for tge most part it stays as long as you keep topping it up
We have raised hay feeders - custom built also of course. It is inside the hutches with the pellets. Thank you for asking politely instead of accusing me of not feeding them hay like some of the other comments 😆
Omg It makes me soooo happy to see animals happy. Thank you for doing this! I love it! I have bunnies and I go for the natural look and feel too! My climate doesn’t allow them to be outside but inside I have lots of natural looking stuff!
With Angora rabbits natural grass/ground can cause their fur to get filthy and matted it also makes it very hard to keep the pen clean which can lead to skin problems. The way we have this built the urine soaks through the astroturf to the sand beneath and I vacuum their pellets up and use them for fertilizer. It's a win/win symbiotic relationship. 🙂
This is an amazing idea that I would definitely do if I could! My only recommendation would maybe be trying to litter train because that makes the cleaning routine sooooooooooooooo much easier! 🐰! Oh and could you do a rabbit diet video please that would be great! 😁
Really cool idea, I like the idea for those titles to use to keep them cool. I would totally do that if I had kept mine outside. But I live in Texas it gets so hot, so I keep them housed inside for fear of them being overheated. But I am sure their are many good rabbit owners out there that can accommodate cool places for their outdoor rabbits.
Our buns would have so much fun in there, you did an awesome job! So much inspiration to work towards for ours now that the weather is cooling down. Cheers! =)
Very kool ... maybe on the slopes you could put wood strips across it so they would have an easier time going up and down? It was just a thought lol love your video!
🐰 i wont talk about the hay because ive read the comment that u keep it where u keep the pellets. I love this setup! Its a great and safe place for the bunnies! U used the trees and the area so creatively. Maybe i might just steal this idea when im older.......
I've never owned a rabbit in my life and I'm not sure how I got here, but here I am 😆 But also I wanted to say, I think if you had done an overview shot of the whole enclosure first before you started touring I think it would help a lot! But anyways, I really love the treehouse aspect to it! that's so cute
oh that looks amazing. ive got a question 1) how do you deal with a very shy and scared rabbit. When shall i pick them up and pet them? your rabbits are very lucky
A loooot of patience. If you hand feed them and give them some treats or pellets out of your hand they will trust you because you are the one giving them food. And rabbits love food. You can try petting them when feeding them at the same time. If they are used to that, you can pet them without them eating. And I don't pick my rabbits up because they hate it. Some rabbits tolerate it. That doesn't mean they like it, most of them really don't. So make sure to respect them if you notice they dislike it I hope I could help
You need to have bonding time everyday with hand feeding and petting, don’t try to pick her or him up they won’t trust you most hate being picked up they think a predator is picking them up. You have got too let them do their own thing and come to you, if I was a bunny and saw a human standing up at me I would be scared too. Get to her or his level think like a bunny.
The reason Most rabbits do not like to be picked up is because in the Rabbit World the first time a rabbit is "picked up" ...is usually by it's Predator. Sad but true ....
Wow this setup is just so beautiful! Personally I wouldn’t keep my bun buns outside just cause I’m very paranoid in that way, but it looks like you’ve managed to make a safe and comfortable home for them! 🥰
Where is their hay? They need hay like, everyday, as all these experts in the comments say, or you will pay. Lol jkjkjk. How annoying. I see comments like these all the time where they dont realize the necessary item(s) could be out of view and doesnt mean it's not provided. Most just like to feel like smarty pants and the experts of all things bunnies (or whatever animal/object) I can understand when young children do it, just irritating to see grown adults who should have a little more sense do it. Anyway, I dont usually comment on things like this but every other comment was something about hay and many were pretentious jerks about it. I'm a new sub, and have greatly enjoyed the videos I've watched so far. I look forward to many more. Oh, and fantastic enclosure set up! I'd really like to do something this creative for my squirrels one of these days. Mine is similar in how its built around a tree for them to climb with various hideouts etc. But there is no cute theme, or fanciness about it like yours. Very inspiring. Tfs!
Lol! Thank you! I'm waiting for the day when I'm so paranoid about posting anything with my animals for fear of being judged that I'm attempting to show people they have air to breath... Just discouraging from a community of pet lovers - for people to be so ready to attack one another without any context or information! I'd love to see your enclosure!!
🐰🐰🐰🐇🐇🐇 Love this enclosure! You all did an amazing job! You are so creative. Things that I would never think of, you’ve included in this house. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next! Hate seeing all the negative hay comments. I’ve never met anyone who takes as much care as you do with your animals. You always go above and beyond to make sure every animal has as natural of a diet and habitat as possible. Just because they don’t see doesn’t mean that they don’t have it!
I usually just ignore those kind of comments - but this was such a HUGE project, and we spared no expensive (or days of our lives :P) creating it...I was so excited to finally share it with everyone and I think being met with these wild accusations just really disappointed me. Need to do a better job appreciating all of the support but I was really taken aback by anyone concluding that someone who cares THIS much about their pets would then deny them their most basic need (food)! Lol. I always love and appreciate when people make suggestions to improve my pet care; I'll never be done learning how to do better! These comments weren't presented that way though, unfortunately.
Looks amazing and honestly thinking about doing something like this although I’m in Florida and times like now almost everyday we are in a heat advisory meaning temps about 100 all day everyday. How would you handle that type of situation
Try to litter train them it will make cleaning so much easier also please cover the bottom of the cages they can get bumble feet and that is very painful
They aren’t in the cages often, but when they are I have a floor cover that you can see in the back of the cage that I put down across the wire. Haven’t had any luck with litter training these. My last rabbit was perfectly trained to his. It honestly is SO easy to clean this setup I don’t even mind.
Treatment becomes non toxic after 30 days, so it's a preference. I'd be more concerned about most of mine eating the plastic than I would the treated wood. And such little plastic from the turf, wouldn't be hazardous. Awesome enclosure. Come and build my reptiles enclosures please 🥰
Good to know. I haven't noticed them eating the turf at all. Tell you what...I'll build my reptile enclosures, video them and you can copy what I did. Truth be told Ben will probably do most of the hard labor...I'll decorate.😂😉
Nope, but it’s more of an outdoor, low pile carpet than actually turf though. Watched them very closely the first few days, and did poop inspections to be sure!
These are former breeder rabbits. They are not tame and do not thrive at all with constant human sounds, smells and interaction. They’ve been kept outside in small cages with minimal contact for years. This is the best setup possible for them.
Hi! This is a pretty old video by now so I'm hoping you see this comment. I'm building my bun a new cage and I was considering turf for the flooring similar to the one you use here. Do you ever have any problems with your bunnies eating or digging up that type of flooring?
I have not had an issue with them chewing or digging at all. It actually has worked great because the urine goes through it to the sand beneath and into the soil so there is no smell and I can vacuum up the feces so easily.
Omg such a good idea! We are moving on a farm soon and my mom doesn't want pets inside the house so I am definitely going to do this!! But the only thing is that it is really cold there and snows A LOT so, I am going to make an actual building! One thing though is I would be terrified leaving the bunnies alone on that treehouse so I think (but you can do what you want because it is not my business) you should add like more wood or chicken wired so they don't fall!
Rabbits do well in cold weather. I had my first rabbits as a child in northern Michigan...cold and lots of snow 7-8 months of the year. They will need an enclosed area to get in out of the cold thou. The railing on the ramp is quite sturdy, The distance to the ground is not very far (I have never actually seen them on the top ramp. That was more for looks...lol). Enjoy farm life...it's fantastic.
Wow! This is amazing! It looks so good! Your bunnies are so lucky! Would you consider rescueing more bunnies in the future and bonding them to your current bunnies since you have this incredible enclosure?
I hope to continue to help rescue, and potentially adopt out, rabbits. Right now I think the cage is fairly full - there's 4 in there total, but down the road absolutely!
If you need ideas! You should add a dust bath!\sand bath it's really good for them! Also while it been watching these vids a lot I found the do like dust baths!
It's been quite some time since you posted this video but firstly i love your cage setup a real inspiration! My dad is the same he build so much for his animal's one question we rann into a big problem with glue for the green carpet it was perfectly good to use with children but together with rabbit urine it became toxic and killed 4 rabbits before we even knew what happened. Be careful everyone
I'm in love, this is the cutest rabbit enclosure ever! 🥺🤩 Already dreaming about recreating it someday, but in southern Ontario we get Siberia esque winters... :(

It is so sweet how much time and effort you put in that enclosure this is how they should look
A lot of the credit goes to Ben. The majority was his design and practically all of it was his handy work!
This would have been a dream come true for me and my bunnies that I used to have. What an amazing setup (especially the "hobbit" part)! I'm so glad to know there are wonderful people like you who are able to provide such loving care to these darling little bunnies!
Omg!! I love the way you keep your bunnies 🐰 I’m sure they live very happy with you. God bless you and them🙏🏽
The most workable and gorgeous rabbit living area I've ever seen!! The ONLY thing I would add is a sandbox. This is incredible
Love it! Maybe you can add a litterbox inside the hutch! That will be a lot more colder bake on their feet and it will be easy to clean:) I use a horse stall bedding and it’s great for the garden
I use litter boxes and lots of hay :)
Yes! I agree!
Actually wire isn’t bad for their feet! Especially when they can have a break from it
possibly toss some indoor outdoor scrap carpet in the cage to help their feet? you did a wonderful job on this place. bet they love it!
This is amazing!!! A lot of people would disagree but as long as you take care of them and keep them safe in the right way they'll be very very happy!
Amazing! We're about to get some bunnies so this has given me a lot of ideas! Thank you!
Omgg this gotta be the best cage for rabbits i have seen so far
Thank you!
This is an AMAZING set up
Thank you!! Worth sacrificing two months worth of weekends for :)
I love the hill tunnel idea! Your rabbits look so happy :)

The white picket fence may be too sharp if the happen to fall on it.

One critique that I had to muster to get because this is so awesome, but why no real grass like use the natural ground?

I, sorry but this IS true and they ARENT CHICKENS the water is dirty u should just use normal bowls
@@carlieweaver-kenny5972 that’s not even ok for chickens so don’t even advertise that they can have dirty water
Love it love it love it!!!
🐰 This is amazing ❤️
This is AWESOME!!! Im jealous
man they are sooooo spooled😲
I know!! I love it!
Looks amazing and honestly thinking about doing something like this although I’m in Florida and times like now almost everyday we are in a heat advisory meaning temps about 100 all day everyday. How would you handle that type of situation
How do you deal with outdoor factors like Is weather in predators?
Try to litter train them it will make cleaning so much easier also please cover the bottom of the cages they can get bumble feet and that is very painful
They aren’t in the cages often, but when they are I have a floor cover that you can see in the back of the cage that I put down across the wire.
Haven’t had any luck with litter training these. My last rabbit was perfectly trained to his. It honestly is SO easy to clean this setup I don’t even mind.
@@AdriRachelle 👌
What was the muppet rabbit between the tree trunks? I thought it was an added stuffed animal until he moved!😲
@@AdriRachelle sounds like a done deal 😜 just splurged on some toys (powertools) so no excuses now hehe
You can build this over a concrete patio floor
do you have any issues with your rabbits eating the AstroTurf
Nope, but it’s more of an outdoor, low pile carpet than actually turf though. Watched them very closely the first few days, and did poop inspections to be sure!
If only it was inside!!!!DARN!!!
It actually has worked great because the urine goes through it to the sand beneath and into the soil so there is no smell and I can vacuum up the feces so easily.
those boxes on the hutches should have a bridge connecting them
Omg such a good idea!
I love the Hobbit home and Tree fort idea.
Ben did an amazing job!
I thought i had a cool idea with tunnels, then I found your rabbit treehouse. Very cool :)
Thanks! Ben put a lot of planning and time into building that little village for them so I let him name it! Seemed like a good deal for all involved
You have inspired me to expand my city. :)
I'm in love, this is the cutest rabbit enclosure ever! 🥺🤩 Already dreaming about recreating it someday, but in southern Ontario we get Siberia esque winters... :(
You could do it outside but instore lots of heating systems and heaters 😘
Your husband sure loves you!
Awesome setup! LOVE the hobbit theme. What are the names of the rabbits? Sorry if I missed it in the video!
