IEC 62368-1:2023 Training (Part 1: Scope & Introduction)

This video introduces the IEC 62368-1:2023 technical standard for electrical products and includes requirements for electrical safety, mechanical safety, thermal safety, etc.
The scope of the standard includes all IT and A/V products and their components. They will need to pass IEC 62368-1:2023 tests to comply with the LVD directive for the EU and UK, OSHA's requirements for the USA, and SCC's for Canada.

precisions to be made: EN IEC 62368-1 ed.3 was published by Cenelec in 2020 with its European common modification A11. It may perfectly be used in Europe and UK for demonstrating compliance of product. Nevertheless, this is true that version of standard wasn't (and will never be) cited in the Official Journal due to legalistic readings of the European Commission, this implies that the presumption of conformity is not legally ensured in Europe and UK for LVD. On the other hand, edition 3 being more recent than the cited version (edition 2 for LVD only, RED has no version cited), this is usually recognized by market authorities and economic operators. Please also note that edition 3 is the version partially cited for GPS-D in regard of sound pressure safety.
