I remember finding the second Code Geass DS game in a bargain bin somewhere and snatched it right up. Unfortunately, I couldn't even make it past the first minigame because I had no idea what to do.
What I don’t understand is why Code Geass doesn’t just make a Star Wars Battlefront 2 style game, where you can customize your own character and decide to join the Black Knights or Holy Britannia faction and play through and walk around areas completing simple schools objectives to espionage or spy tactics and political or military assassinations with the choice of choosing a Geass power that comes with a weakness at the start of the game, or later on getting a powerful anti or Geass cancelling power? While not in combat you should be able to walk around and interact with characters at school or in cities or ghettos to pick up objectives like choosing to help Japanese (11’s) ghetto victims or funny school events with Mili, or getting into fights or gambling, then in combat situations have the choice of being a ground soldier with different choosable weapons from the show like handguns sidearms, machine or shotguns, sniper rifles for taking out important ground troops or anti tank rifles or rocket launchers to damage knightmares, and like battlefront 2, enter onightmares themselves and eventually earn your own customizable knightmare. For your own character there should be a perk system to increase or decrease certain factors about your character, like putting points into combat like firearms to make your character more accurate and lethal with weapons, agility and hand to hand combat and martial arts to make your character able to do aerobic maneuvers like Kalen, like front flips and acrobatics to avoid gun fire and the hand to hand and martial arts to take down opponents with blades or martials arts with choices of martial arts styles like in Saints Row 2 so you can fight and move around the field like Suzaku, Kalen or the ninja maid. Other perks can be put into non combat choices like dialogue so you can be more persuasive like Lelouch or charming to characters. Obviously choosing nationality will affect interactions like be Japanese making it harder to interact with more racist Britanians and empathizing being manipulative or charming with other students or importance of completing task and quests to gain favor and become a true friend, while as a Britanian pure blood you’d have the same dilemma as a Japanese sympathizer. Half bloods would have the benefit or being able to play either side or spy more effectively for either side. Obviously and even more interesting would be having to hide your identity and alter ego as a soldier or black knight at school having to hide weapons while in public eye and not wear the same outfits worn while acting out as a terrorist/freedom fighter or risk being noticed by authorities. Such a game is so very possible if they combine the elements that made Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Saints Row 2 popular. Just an open Code Geass sandbox with Yandere Simulator type graphics and you have an easy and fun game that can immerse you into the world.
