- Today I'm taking you inside the newest prefab home in America. Last weekend I made my way to Las Cruces, New Mexico to see a steel frame prefab home that was just revealed. It's a 384 square foot studio with a wall of windows that can be opened for indoor outdoor living. In this video I take you inside one of their prototypes known as the Infinity Suite and tell you a bit about what they offer. Watch and learn more about Live BFF, the newest Prefab Home Company in America.

This is such a flexible home. Of course it depends how you are using it but this would be a great option for young adults that want to or have to move back home after college. Using the murphy bed that can become a workstation / desk would be awesome. It is also great to see that they are putting windows on all 4 sides of the home. Many ADUs you have presented only have the big windows in the living/dining area. I know you mentioned this home last week, but thank you very much for creating a video solely on this model. Great job - Kerry!
As someone who lives in a snowy area, I'd love to hear about the R-rating of the insulation. It's also nice to know which HVAC products come with it or could be compatible/plumbed/wired. Otherwise, your videos are awesome!
Very nicely laid out. Looks comfortable. Thanks for sharing this video with us. 👍🏻
Thanks John!
Thanks Kerry it means a lot don't let the haters get you down!
Thank you 🙌🏼
thank you!
Thanks!
Great video Kerry 🎉
Thanks Dennis
Love the murphy bed
More groovy vibes from New Mexico...I love the modern look from Live BFF.
Glad to hear it
Oh, Hope you enjoyed Las Cruces. Did 'ya know Alex Lifeson used to have a place down there? Canadians have sooo much money, multiple homes and all. I don't know French very well, but I think Las Cruces means "the hors d'oeuvres." Seriously, it's great to know about Live BFF, and it's so close (I'm in Southern Colorado). I might go check them out. Thanks for a great channel!
Be in charge of your window and be in charge of your life! Awesome!!! 😊 👍
Haha
The Infinity Suite is a nice prototype. I like the kitchen layout even with the washer/dryer there. Was that a dishwasher just before the refrigerator? If so, that kitchen is stocked. 🏅
Very rustic interior. I think I’d go with a lighter color wood flooring but that’s just my personal preference. 🤷🏻♂️
I’m not worried about spiders. Sewer rats on the other hand….🐀🫣
Great video Kerry. Your walkthroughs have me glued to my screen. Nice job. 😎
It's a stove
@@brendacaldwell8374The stove is on the left next to the cabinet/pantry. Then it’s the washer/dryer. Then the sink. Then what looks like a dishwasher. Then refrigerator is on the right. I’m asking about the dishwasher next to the refrigerator on the far right. Not the stove to the left of the washer/dryer.
I love your videos. My parents’ first home was a Gunnison Steel Built made of prefab panels. Only way they could have afforded a home.
Very cool! Thanks for watching Sheila
Thanks, Kerry. Have a great Christmas 🎄.
You too!
Steel framing is excellent. Good layout. Cost may come down as production ramps up.
🤞🏻
The price on this is good news, at around $80K, not over $140. for 360 sft. Really glad it's in a build kit, for my site that can't use a crane to place a fully built home. I can't wait to investigate this further. Thanks, Kerry.
I would have put the kitchen where the air conditioner unit is but overall it was cute and thanks for the tour 🙂
You bet!
@@KerryTarnow ❤️
Nice!
thank you
Hey Kerry, I love the design and the materials that are used for these dwellings, I would lean more toward simplicity of the Scandinavian style of design. Your videos have shown plenty of these designs. My family comes from Norway and Sweden, so naturally I gravitate towards those types of building designs. Also, I am fortunate to have worked as a designer at the Boeing Company in the Seattle area. I continue to search for land on the Eastside of the Cascades, from Lake Chelan north to the Okanogan area. Aren't you just north of there in Canada? Anyway, I'll probably design my home, complete the drawings, submit them to the appropriate entities, pray that they all won't say I'm crazy, and go from there. Anyway, thanks for all your hard work in bringing this wonderful content to us. Regards, Don Wilson, Tacoma, Washington.
Nice home
thanks!
Wow! My home town and I had no idea. I'll have to ck them out. Thanks!
Yeah definitely stop by
Nice!❤
Great quality videos! You are truly a professional...
Thank you 🙏🏻
I really like this design. The outside gives a shipping container vibe which I find modern and unique. BTW funny story, I was at Target earlier and I guy walked by I would have sworn was you. I thought pretty sure you would not be here, still you must have a twin out there. Have a great day and week.😊❤
Haha! Could’ve been me 🤔
Unless you were in Columbus Ohio propably not. LOL😂
❤❤❤ This Channel!
No these are what modular homes are all about steel frames wood is used to finish the walls but from foundation to roof all framed in steel, quality, durability and precision cut. Yes they are a little expensive but as they get their production line up and running the cost will come down, remember we are headed for a big correction in 2024/2025 in housing prices! But well engineered small high quality homes will continue to sell!
@livebfff This is a great layout and use of space. Again the awesome fencing is a nice feature too.
Kerry: Keep bringing the good stuff, and I enjoy watching you try the home out/on for size. 🥶🖤🔔👍🏻❤️
glad to see the terrarium is no longer over the edge of the table 😅 disaster averted!
Haha!
Very nice !
Do you know if they have any single bedroom with a bath modules so you could connect them to the main unit or is that something you would have to custom order.
I remember getting an answer saying things could be added but I didn't see it mentioned in the video or anything like that shown.
In a perfect world, each bedroom should always have its own at least 3/4 bath.
16 ft deep x 24' is a very good size. I prefer it so much, to 12' depths, or less.
These tiny homes are more expensive than buying a regular home...and you still have to buy land and set up foun6and utilities!!
There is no home for sale in my town for less than $290k. For $86k you can buy a small lot and then put a house on it---and pay for a well and septic and all the rest.
Houses in my area for 1300sf 1960 house is app. 1M. Good idea if you want to drop and ADU in your back yard
I have NO IDEA what corner of the world you live in! There is no where, in my opinion, worth living that THIS is expensive!!!
They are less wasteful, just as strong if not stronger, and assemble faster.
Don't buy if u don't like them.
Most of the time they cost less.
I love the speed of assembly, small footprint, and the way it looks. IMO prefab homes should be the norm in the housing industry.
Kerry, you were at over thirty seconds before you said or did whatever it was you said you'd say or do...however, I forgot what you said you'd deliver, so I can't guarantee I had the time right.
haha! I was wondering if anyone would notice. whiffed on the estimate
"As usual, you deserve a couple of reviews."! the best!!!
Where’s the utilities? Furnace, water tank etc
When will we see the Haven finished?
Hopefully soon!
you're right about the "European vibe" in the kitchen @ 5:20. Biggest fault is the washer projecting from under the counter. Having lived in rentals in Europe, the washer in the kitchen is very much indeed common, being closer to the hot and cold water supplies BUT only if it is UNDER the counter. As shown that install interferes with traffic pattern; from experience it is untenable at best, unforgiveable at worst!
The kitchen is basic to say the least. Those slot in cookers often have gaps into which spillovers disappear that cannot be reached for cleaning. If the washing machine was an integrated model, it wouldn't project like that but does require a decor panel/door. Same for the dishwasher. Here in Europe, most of us live in much smaller spaces and the kitchen is typically where the washer/dryer goes.
Great feedback, thanks!
$86,000 😳
IS THAT WITH OR WITHOUT THE TOILET 🚽?? 😊
haha
Been looking into this want one so bad but it's so expensive
Easy.
I just don't let the bears in.
Good call 🐻 🚪
That kitchen 🤦♀ sigh. Too much for a small space. A countertop two burner induction cooking surface, a microwave/convection oven and no dishwasher. The window over the sink should have been turned in the opposite direction for more open views. Wasn't a fan of the outside and not really a fan of the inside either. Thanks for the tour Kerry 👍
yea ikr. i would do it very different.
get rid of the stove and replace it with an in wall oven and an induction cooktop that's inside the counter, put in a dishwasher that's finished off with the cabinetry of the kitchen and replace that small and ugly fridge with a built-in fridge.
@@miles5600 good ideas.
Ya the Kitchen is a mess
Toilets can be dealbreakers . . . 🤔
Haha
I;d make the fridge higher
Great feedback, thanks!
I,m really tall, to far to bend over for the bottom part of the fridge. @@KerryTarnow
Everyone has to remember these prefabs are turnkey. So you are paying for appliances. Plus new technology for better building and longer lasting with less maintenance. So some of this pays for itself in the long run.
I love spiders. 🕷️
Haha for real?
Howuch ?
How much ?
86k
Do these qualify for a 30 year mortgage? If they do, I guess they’re worth the price. If they don’t, someone is better off buying a mobile home.
@86,400 where is the 10X savings?
He mentions the savings will come as the become more efficient and scale. Might have been in the other video
For that size, that price tag is WAY to high!
Thank you for the feedback
No toilet? Good! I don't like cleaning those anyway.
Haha!
Seems that the dollar is nearly worthless.
Good space but the worst wall kitchen I’ve seen. They can do better .
Appreciate the feedback
I wanna complain about the price 'cuz everything else in the world is getting cheaper!! Oh, wait, that's not right, hmm, well I still wanna complain....
Efficient living, bah! I don't think they'll have accomplished all that much until someone can offer a finished 900 sq.ft. 1 bedroom for about $100 per sq.ft.
thank you for the feedback
Me no likey…😢
Fair enough, thanks for watching
10x? Your dreaming.
-This is awful
-Overpriced for the end result
-The average handyman can replicate this exact structure for a fraction of the price
-They need to put effort into the interior design because it’s completely lackluster and mediocre
-Completely insane and they clearly bumped their heads
I need an average handyman then!
P
These prefab homes are a joke. Period. Housing is affordable. I just priced a 1,475 sq ft 3bd/2ba manufactured home from Clayton. Delivered price including setting minus water, sewer, electrical hookup is $108,800 USD with a four month lead time. This is the house alone which is comparable to the prefabs shown here. that works out to about $70 sq ft. No prefab company can come close to that let, let alone justify it to any reasonable person.
BFF looks crappy.
The house is ugly and overpriced
Appreciate the feedback
30 seconds before hearing about the dang like button. I’m out
Haha
Starting with flatstock. 👌Shows they are going with highest cost efficiency for materials.
HA! 13MIN! IM ON IT! LIKED LIVE BFF!
Nice!!
Great value! Customizable too
There it is. LOL.
Haha
With a steel frame (having three of four-inch exterior wall thickness?) and large glass doors and windows, the obvious question is about thermal efficiency. Steel is very thermally conductive, so there's little thermal isolation from the exterior climate. And the wall thickness doesn't allow for enough insulation for northern climates.
What are the R-values of the walls, floors and roof? Please tell us the U-values of the windows and doors.
Do these modules sit on a concrete slab? How are they insulating the slab?
Thanks for sharing! Nice murphy bed.. I noticed you took it down with one hand..nice. I have one that will kill you if you're not careful. I would opt for a lighter interior.. white walls. The furnishing were hideous. lol.
RELOAD
It's a different unit. Kerry doesn't reload
