Very well explained. Need some thoughts/suggestion we have custom Java application web service on Oracle 10gAS and we would like move it to Oracle Web Logic server. Based on research found Jdeveloper smart grade tool for some reason we can't use that tool. Since we have EAR files configured on 10g as if we just copy them and deploy in WLS will it work? or we should really generate the EAR/WAR files in Jdeveloper manually deploy those in WLS. Which is the best practice and is there any video about generating ear/war files from different source would be helpful.

Hi,
Need help as I am not able to 'Lock and edit" in Weblogic console. When I click on this button WLS hanged. WLS 10.3.6

Windows 2008 R2, wls is configured in production mode.

Okay, Do you see any error there? How about the hardware configuration?
Try giving full folder permissions(like everyone) to the middleware.

need help I am deploying a war file in weblogic, using ./startmanagedServer and ./stopManagedserver to start stop my application and whenever I update a war file it’s deployment getting failed.
I need to update the war from front end and than start it from front end
I need a solution so that I can deploy a updated war from Command or script.
